And yet he still won.

Mommy left me with him,
There's no one I can phone.

Teachers thought I was lying,
Because I tried to be 'cool'.

No one really cares,
Would I ever say a word?
No, I'd never dare.

I`m old enough to drive,
Almost caused a car accident,
I`m a bee inside his hive.

Today Father hit me,
Nothing will be done.
Mother won`t believe me,
My heart now weighs a tonne.

Today Father hit me,
I never said a word,
Because I know that no one cares,
And I`m just a nerd.

Today Father hit me,
I finally had enough,
I ran away from home today,
Because I felt real tough.

Today Is My Wedding Day,
Never saw My Father,
I know one day what not to do,
When I have my Daughter.

Today My Little Girl Was Born,
Gorgeous little thing,
I love her to death,
My arm is in a sling.

Father saw me last week,
First time in years,
He hit me hard enough to kill,
After he had seven beers.

I saw Mother yesterday.
Finally told her the truth.
She cried in my arms for several hours,
Saying he hit her too.

Now I am ancient man,
My grandson living proud.
He never hit his wife or daughter,
Not even when I was in the ground.

I hope someone hears my story,
For years I lived through he*ll.
