As the list gets narrowed down, I'll start listing each individual as contestants--i.e. Hawaiian versus Maori and so on.

PLEASE READ: I am of the opinion that mythology is not just something ancient peoples have. This name can be used for any body of tales surrounding ANY religion, and for that reason I have included modern religious beliefs in this survey. If you get offended by my use of the word 'mythology' it's your problem, not mine. Thank you.
