"What are we going to do?"
A one shot between Lauren and Brian. Joe is thrown in too : )
Chapter 1
"What are we going to do?"
Lauren woke up in a haze. She didn't know where she was or who she was with. She turned around in the bed to see a man laying next to her. He moved a little making Lauren wince. When she saw who it was, she ran to the bathroom as quickly as she could before, throwing up. The sound of Lauren throwing up woke the guy up! While she continued to throw up, the man walked down stairs to get some coffee.
Lauren finished, and got up. Looking at herself in the mirror, then she realized where she was. Oh my god, she thought to herself. No, it can't be. She carefully walked out of the bathroom, the man from the bed was gone. She was still dizzy, she headed down stairs. When she reached the bottom, she was shocked, slowly sitting at the bottom of the cold wooden staircase. Lauren put her soft face into her hands and started to cry.
Three weeks later.
"Brian what are we going to do? This can't be happening, what am I going to tell Joe?" Lauren sighed.
"Lauren is it going to be fine. We'll just tell him the truth"
"And what is the truth? It SHOULD NOT have happened" It was a mistake, and now I have the mistake growing inside of me!"
Brian was hurt "Lauren! This is our baby that you are talking about" Lauren interrupted "no this is my baby, not ours." Lauren shouted at him. No one could hear them because they were in a park that was rarely used. Lauren sat in the swing, Brian sat next to her on the other. "You know what the worst part of this is?"Lauren said to him calmly. Brian couldn't think of anything else, but then it came to him "Oh no, Joe wasn't in town three weeks ago" Lauren started to cry hysterically and lost all control. Brian got off the swing and hugged Lauren tight, as she cried. "Lauren it isn't the end of the world" Brian said.
"Brian, you don't understand. I am engaged, too Joe. He is supposed to be the dad, not you" Brian nodded in agreement. "I know Lauren, I know." he exclaimed with tears in his eyes.
Eight months later.
Lauren and Joe where still together. Joe made the choice to stay with Lauren because he loved her. He knew it was a mistake, he also knew that she didn't feel anything for Brian. And Joe and Brian where still mates, they worked together after all, and they didn't let the baby come between each other. It killed Joe that he wasn't the father, but he was going to love this child like his own, and hey there is always next time. Lauren wasn't due for another three weeks, it was January the 22nd. But all of that changed over night.
Lauren and Joe where asleep when Lauren shot up in pain.
"Joe, Joe wake up"
"What? What's wrong? Are you going in to labor? Lauren nodded. "Okay, I have the bad and car keys, lets go" Joe shouted. Lauren's mobile rang, it was Brian. It was like he new, Joe answered;
"Hey, is Lauren okay?" Brian said.
"She is in labor, meet us at the hospital"Joe said as he helped Lauren into the car.
"Okay, I'll be there" Brian said putting down the phone.
A little over 10 hours later.
At 6:15am on the 23rd of Januray a little girl was born. Grace Louise May Holden-Walker was brought into this mad world. Brian and Joe were both in the room when she was born. While Lauren was in bed, cradling and stroking Grace's hand, Joe left the room, leaving Lauren, Brian and Grace alone together. But before he left he kissed 'his' daughter on her soft tiny forehead, along with kissing his Lauren.
"She looks like you" Brian said to Lauren. Lauren smiled at him. What happened next was a shock to both of them, Lauren kissed Brian softly.
"What was that for?" Brian said, looking into Lauren perfect brown eyes.
"It was a thank you. Thank you for giving me this little girl and giving me a chance to be a mother" she said looking into his eyes in return.
Grace looked like Lauren a lot. She didn't have many features of Brian which meant that she was going to get his sense of humor or personality which didn't bother Lauren because that is what Lauren loved about Brian. Joe came back into the room sitting next to Lauren "do you wanna hold her Joe?" Lauren said looking into his blue eyes, Joe nodded and gently pick her up, he held her in his arms, Joe lost him self in her eyes. A tear pricked and fell slowly down his cheek "welcome to the family Grace." Joe said kissing her forehead.
