Simple Starkid One-shots/drabbles :)

We sing together out of key
Although we try it seems we just can't find our harmony
We just don't fit each other's frequencies
That makes you out of reach
And I am finally accepting that

"That girl is so weird."
"Why isn't she talking?"
"All she does is read."
I turn my head to look at the boys making fun of me. It's my first day of sixth grade in a new school, and clearly it's not going well. These sort of comments are frequent throughout the day, except for one I received during lunch hour.
"You've got cool hair? Want to be friends?" I look up from my book and see a boy sitting across from me smiling and holding out a lolli-pop to me.
"Is this a joke?" I ask. "It wouldn't be the first."
He looked puzzled, and cocked his head to the side,"Why would I be playing a joke on you? You're cool!" he said and placed the candy in my hand. "I'm A.J. by the way."
"Sasha." I replied
"Nice to meet you Sasha! Wow your name is as cool as your hair! We're going to be best friends I can tell."

About you and me, it's plain to see,
We only ever want to stay inside and watch TV,
Because that's just as good a memory,
You're just good company,
And I am finally accepting that,

"SAHS!!!!"
"YES J.A.?"
"CAN WE GO BUY PRETTY LIGHTS BECAUSE IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS?"
"I SUPPOSE, AS LONG AS YOU BUY ME SOMETHING PRETTY!!"
"It shall be done!"
I laugh at my loser of a friend, we've been friends since sixth grade when he told me that my hair was cool and voila! Here we are still best friends today!

People always tell me that we would be and adorable couple, but I don't see it. I mean I A.J. is attractive but I don't know if I could have feelings for him.I mean he's like my brother...right?

Remember the time when we stole the whole day?
And nobody knows it, we took it away,
And it will be forever mine,
And it will be forever yours

I finished hanging up the lights we bought in the sound booth at the back of the auditorium. It being my senior year, I was finally sound manager for my school's stage crew!
I step back and admire my work, smiling to myself. A pair of arms lift me off the chair I'm standing on and A.J. yells in my ear, "HELLO SASHAHAHAHA!!!" he puts me down and I start wiping myself off as though someone had sneezed on me.
"EWW!! ACTOR GERMS!!!" I yell at him. We both burst out laughing.
"Ahhhhhhh I love you Sashers." He says hugging me properly.
"I suppose I love you too A.Jayyyy." I answer hugging him back. "What can I help you with dearie? Closing night, shouldn't you be getting your make-up done?"
"yeah probably, but I just wanted to make sure you got my special mic ready for me." He gives me a goofy grin. I roll my eyes.
"Yes, A.J. I have your favorite mic right here, like I do for every single performance you do at the school."
"Goooooooooooodd. See ya after the show Sashers!" He ruffles my orange hair and walks back onto the stage and disappears behind the travelers. I can't ignore the fact that when he picked me up, hugged me, and touched my hair that my heart skipped a beat. But it's impossible, I can't like my best friend that's far too cliche for someone like me. I sigh and put on my head set and prepare for the show.

Now we own the night, and it can't be undone,
We'll never forget how it feels to be young,

"You did great Mr. Sweeney Todd! I liked the part when you died!" I tease A.J. after the show as we walk to his car.
"Oh you did? I could have sworn you were half asleep back there in your little booth!" He teases back unlocking the doors. I stick my tongue out at him and he smiles, "Loooooovvvee you." He says.
"I know, how could you NOT love me." I answer sarcastically. We're quiet for a little bit, both tired from rehearsals, but it's Christmas eve! I stare out the window, just as he passes my street. "A.J. where on earth are we going? You passed my street, you never pass my street!"
"It's a surprise, I promise you'll love it!"
"As long as it doesn't have to do with whales, you know I'm scared of whales."
This makes him laugh, "Oh darn there goes my idea!" he says jokingly, "I promise it doesn't have to do with whales."
We fall silent for a few minutes. I look around to see if I can figure out where we're going. He tells me to close my eyes though, so I do. Pretty soon I feel the car stop, and hear A.J. get out and open the trunk. Then my door opens and his hand grabs mine - again my heart skips.
"Keep them closed." He says. He lets go of my hand and I am suddenly aware of how cold it is, I shiver and put my hands in my pockets. "Okay on 3 open them, 1....2....3!"
I open my eyes and my jaw drops I see trees adorned in lights, blankets and pillows the snow, my eyes dart around taking this all in, but finally they rest on A.J. who is staring at me with his adorable smile, as though looking for approval.
"Well what do you think?" He asks cautiously.
"I-I..." Is all I can get out. I'm speechless. I couldn't believe he would do this for me.
"Oh, I'm sorry I just wanted to do something special for you." His smile drops, and his eyes break away from mine. "I had to let you know how I feel about you and thought this would be great, you always talk about how you love the stars and wish you could see them from your backyard but the city lights sto-" I sprint over to him and tackle him into the snow, kissing him. He's stunned, staring into my eyes for a moment before leaning in to kiss me.
"I love it." I say, "and I love you too." tears run down my cheeks from joy.
"I love you too. Merry Christmas Sasha." He says kissing me again.
"Merry Christmas A.J." We smile at each other and lay there in the now almost warm snow, staring up at the stars that I swear I could reach.

And it will be forever mine,
And it will be forever yous.
