The Unexpected

I woke up in my room, the sky dark outside still. When I looked out my window, snow was gently falling down. It was the begining of January, snow covered everything in Vermont by this time. I went in my bathroom and got ready for school. "Addison c'mon we're going to be late!" Cory screams from the bottom of the stairs. I was straightening my hair and throwing on my outfit (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=40888075). "Relax Imma comming!" I yelled back. I came downstairs and find my uncle in the living room. "Uncle Dan, what are you-" "Well I was going to take you and Cory out to dinner while your mother is out of town for the week." he said. I kissed him and told him that I would see him later. I ran out to the car where Cory was waiting. "Sorry." I said as we drove to school. We arrived to our special school for the arts. I was in for painting and photography, while Cory was in for music. "Addi!" I heard my friend Melissa yelling. I walked over to her after I got out of the car. "What took you so long?" she asked. "What, can't a girl look good for school?" I said posing. She laughed as we got inside, "Just letting you know, you're brother is looking mighty fine today." she said. I pretended to gag, but I got that alot about my brother. As we were walking, I started hearing voices in my head. I ignored it, thinking it was nothing.

I was in my Photography class, as usual, when I started to hear voices. I looked up from my camera, "Did you say something?" I asked. The girl who was being my model shook her head. Chills went through my body, this kept going on through the day. I went back to taking pictures. When class was over, three guys were following me out to the cort yard. "Where ya going angel?" one guy asked. The others were laughing. I grew tense and walked faster. Then I felt someone grab my arm, I looked back and I realized it was one of the football players, and I could smell the alcohol. "Get off of me." I said. He pulled me closer. "let go of me!!" I kept screaming as the others came over. I felt something building inside of me, like some spark, I felt it inside my hands. "I said let go!!!" I finally said, the guys' eyes grew in fear. Then a light knocked them down, leaving them knocked out cold. I fell back on the ground, hitting my head hard. My hands started shaking constantly. "W.w.what just happened?" I thought. The teachers ran out. "What happened here?" Mr. Mac asked as he helped me up. "These guys kept touching me and then...I dunno some light came and knocked them out." I said. Mr. Mac gave me a look as if I had ten heads. "A light?" he asked. I nodded. he walked over to Mrs. Gallian, "She's seeing things, she must have some mental problem." he muttered. "I saw it it was real!!! Please believe me!!!" I yelled. "Addison, please calm down. We're going to call the hospital so you can be checked out." Mrs. Gallian said calmly. "HOW?! THERE WAS A LIGHT THAT CAME OUT OF ME THAT CAUSED THIS AND YOU THINK I'M CRAZY!!!!!!!" I yelled, tears starting to build up. Students froze, watcfhing the conflict between me and the teachers. The ambulance finally came. "Don't worry, I'll be at the hospital soon." Cory said as I got into the truck.

"Addison, I am so sorry this had to happen to you." Uncle Dan said as I laid on the hospital bed. "I can't believe that they didn't believe me. I saw it with my own eyes and they called the hospital because they think I have mental problems." I said. "Well...I think it's a problem. That's why I am sending you to this special home for kids with special problems. It will only be for a while." he said. "Does mom know..." I said. He nodded, "So does your father." he added. I agreed to going to the school, because my mother came home early and my dad had the nerve to show up and convinced me to go. I was packing up my clothes and jewelry in my bag so I was ready for going to the house tomorrow. "Hey...you're leaving." Cory said. I nodded, "Yea, sending me to a nut house. Cory I know what I saw. You have to believe me." I said. He was silent. "I dont know what to believe but I know that my younger sister isn't crazy." he said and hugged me. "You know, maybe this is a sign." he added. I was confused. "A sign for what?" I asked. He shrugged, "I dunno, you're just going to have to find out on your own." he said and left the room. What did he mean by that? I rolled my eyes and finished packing. I looked over to my nightstand and found my lion pendant that my uncle gave me years ago. I always wear it, no matter what. I may not know what is happening but I know that my life is going to change.
