A Sad Tale with an Even Sadder Ending
This is a very sad sad tale with an even sadder ending, if you are one who enjoys happy endings or happy stories do not read this. but for those who want to read this sad sad sad tale with a very sad ending please i barely encourage you to read on. it is very very sad, this story is based on true events others could not have happened, names of places and most people have been changed. you have been warned it is sad
Running down the street a boy with red hair trains for his next wrestling match. Kevin Gnome, a junior at East Central Highschool, is always working to improve himself. he has his I-pod in and listens to Papa Roach while he jogs away. a white car pulls up next to him, a girl with long brown hair gets out and runs up to him. she pulls his head phones out of his ears
"Hey, i'm guessing you forgot" she said
"Brittney what are you talking about forgot?" James answered her confused
"Kevin it's out eightteen month aniversery" Brittney said and smiled seductivly at him
"oh yeah" he says slightly uninterested. at that moment Brittney's phone goes off. Kevin grabbs it from her hand and looks at the screen "who's scott? i thought we talked about this. I don't want you hanging around guys until i meet them"
"he's a guy from school, now let me answer it" Brittney said grabbing the phone back and answering it "hello!" she sounds excited "no i havn't asked him yet i was just about to scott"
Kevin looks at her suspicously "ask me what?"
Brittney ignores him "well scott can you calm down, i have to go my dad is calling me bye hun" she hits the end button
"hun? and why did you have to lie to him, couldn't you just say you were with me?" Kevin asked a little annoyed
"well i always call him hun, it doesn't mean anything Kevin and if i didn't he wouldn't let me off the phone...will you just calm down" Brittney told him
Kevin wasn't looking any happyer "so what did you have to ask me? from this great scott?"
"well scott lives close to school and i was wondering is if you'd be alright if i stayed at his house so i could get to school early to sign up for next semester's classes" Brittney smiles and gets giggly whern she says the name "scott"
"no, i don't care if your in college i'm not giving you a free pass to cheat on me" Kevin said knowing she would go and sleep over Scotts anyway "i don't care what you have to try to make it sound better, your not sleeping over any guys house but mine" Brittney got back in her care and drove off furious. Kevin put his i pod back in and continued his run until he got home.
that night him and Brittney talked for a little while and he heard Scott'c voice over the phone "why are you with Scott at eleven at night?" he asked
"oh...he is staying over my house tonight" Brittney says happyily
"no he isn't" Kevin replyed agitated
"yes he is and you can't do anything about it" Brittney said
Kevin thought to himself for a little while "if he staye over your house tonight i'm leaving the relationship"
"fine i'll make him leave" Brittney said and hung up.
A week goes by and contact with Brittney has been slim except for the usual nightly phone calls. one night he gets a call from an unknown number "Hello?" Kevin says confused
"hi James it's Scott" says the voice on the other end
"Hey scott...what can i do for you"
"well lets get down to buissness...i'm deeply in love with your girlfriend...and we have been sleeping together for the past two weeks...i felt like you should know" Scott's voice was full of sorrow. anger filled Kevin followed by remorse and sorrow. a week later Brittney leaves the shattered relationship. Kevin is crushed. he had been dating Brittney since his freshman yeat of highschool. now he doesn't know where to turn.
it is october and school is in full swing. Kevin has a small group of friends that are scattered between many other groups. he feels alone and tries to get through school. while eating lunch the very next day Kevin is eating along as he always does
"Hey Kev...come sit with us" said a guy two tables away from him. Kevin looked at the table and the people eating at it. the table was full of varsity football players and other jocks. at the moment he wasn't in the mood for testostrone to kick in.
"no thanks guys...i'm fine by my self" Kevin says gloomly and goes back to eating his lunch
"suit yourself" the same guy says and turns back around. one of the others from that table gets a spoon full of apple sause and flings it into the air. the apple sause goes over a table and lands on kevin's back. an eruption of cheers and laughter fills the table of jocks. Kevin does nothing.
from lunch he goes to gym class. while in the locker room the same jocks that hit him with apple sause approch him. "hey Kevin sorry for the apple sause...." he said and grabbed him by the shirt.
"calm down guys...i didn't do anything" Kevin says as he is slammed into the lockers.
"if you did nothing than i wouldn't be doing this would I?" the jock says
"hey jack don't rough him up to much" one of his buddys says as a punch hits home on kevin's abdomin. he looks for air that ins't there as another punch end up in kevin's face. Kevin pushes Jack off. Jack, unhappy with Kevin's choice throws a right hook to kevin's face but misses hitting a locker. Kevin giggles slightly only to be greeted with another knuckle sandwhich. The jocks had their fun and left Kevin alone after that.
"what are you doing" said a voice "don't let them beat you up like that" Kevin looked around to see no one
"who are you?" Kevin asked out loud
"i am you...well my name is kyle...i am your other self" the voice said again. it seemed as if only kevin could hear this kyle. "now get out there in gym and show them you don't mess around" encouraged and stubborn Kevin gets up "thats a good boy...now walk" Kevin obeys and walks out to the gym where the game of choice is volley ball today.
Kevin's team of misfits is placed up ageinst a team with Jack and his girlfriend. Jacks team has the ball. they serve it, it is returned and than spiked into Kevin's face. over and over again it happeneds. "i can't beat him" Kevin whispers to himself
"than allow me" Kyle takes over. when the spike come Kevin jumps into the air and blocks the spike. Jack's foot lands on the ball. he slips and is out cold. Kevin fears for his life.
"you just knocked out Jack...now your gonna wish you haddn't gotten up this morning" one of the jocks says
"i already do regret waking up this morning" Kevin replies staring the jock in the eyes. the bell rings and Kevin walks into the locker room again. one of the jocks tackles him and slams his head into the ground a few times. than everything went dark.
