Pansy Parkinson Rant
:)
Chapter 1
Pansy Parkinson
okeydokee, well I was reading this random yoke about harry potter characters today, and i was reading the comments for Pansy Parkinson's profile, and most of the comments were about how ugly she is and how much of a slt she is. but I think she is Amazin'. In a way she is the most relateable character. She spent years trying to get Draco to ask her out, Sure they went to the Yule Ball together, but they were never actually boyfriend and girlfriend. i think that's so relateable because most girls knows what it feels like to try and get a guys attention. She spent years being rejected but she never gave up aand she is most definietly not a slt she only tried to get with ONE guy, I think people blow her atempts to impress Draco WAAAYY out of poportion. and she is not ugly at all, the picture I put for this chaptger is her. I am actually jealous of her looks. she is so pretty. I personally love Pansy, she is one of my favorite female characters and even though she tried to give Harry to Voldemort, she only did it because that was all she was taught to do, she didn't know any better.
I can proudly say that Pansy is one of my role models, :)

this changed my thoughts about her a bit...
That's what I was aiming for, :)
Wow. Your right... I never really looked at it that way
exactly, she isn't that bad, :)
EXACTLY! She isn't SO bad (although I sometimes don't like her) and she's only obsessive of Draco because that's her character... And... There really isn't any other hottie in Slytherin. xD
exactly, :D
I love Pansy, and the person who played her was remarkably beautiful.
Wow... this changed my view of her A LOT. :)
I completey agree with you. Claps for you
Nope. I still hate her. She's very rude and angry. Judgemental and scary. My least favourite character in the Harry Potter series right before Voldemort.
Sure, Scarlett is pretty, but Pansy isn't. Pansy is ugly, inside and out. "Puggish face." is not pretty. Or not intended to be, anyway.
Pansy is based off of several of Jo's childhood bullies.
okay, I see where your coming from and I chose a bad example of the pretty thing.
and she can be mean, but so am I and the reason I am so mean to people is because Im trying to cover up my own insecurities. so maybe shes doing the same.
So you're saying every bully is innocent.
well not every bully, but sometimes they can just be misunderstood, not always but sometimes, :)
Yeah, not all, but she definitely isn't one of the misunderstood ones.
But, she could be, you don't have any proof that she isn't and I don't have any proof that she is. It's just a matter of opinion.
So your role model, in your own words, is someone who is cruel and sides with plain evil because they weren't taught to know any better?
When she yells to grab Harry and hand him over, that's in ths 7th book. She's 17 (the legal age of adulthood, meaning she was fully responsible, and supposedly more mature than 17 y/os in the Muggle world), and has seen enough of the world and what is good and what is evil in that time.
yeah, i know she was 17 but there was an excellent chance she was still living with her parents and listening to them go on about how bad harry potter is. and like i said before i chosed a bad example of the pretty thing, but just because someone is ugly doesn't make them a bully. and like i said before most bullies are insecure teens, who bully to get attention.
Just because the actress who portrays her is beautiful does not mean she is suddenly a good character. In the books she is described as pug-faced, harsh and rude. Not some pretty, misunderstood Slytherin, who only wanted to go out with Draco Malfoy. She was a bully end of story, and no one's role model in any form unless you want a role model to ruin your life and friendships. As Starkidism/JustSimplyMe_ stated, she's based on bullies. Not insecure teens. Stop bullying. Stop being mean.
I sort of have a mixed view. I see where you're coming from with the trying to get a guy to like her thing, but everything else I would have to disagree with. But, that's another good thing about these books, everyone can interpuret them differently! :)
