The lydyia chronicles- The Hunt
Lydia is 16 when she finds her parents and older brother dead. The police say it was an animal attack, but she thinks it's something more.
Chapter 1
Not your average FBI agents
An animal. That's what the police said. It was a rabid animal. What animal kills 3 people eating only their hearts then takes off, not even leaving a tuft of fur? I didn't believe it. Then the weird agents started asking questions. Two guys in their mid twenties. I hated to admit, but they were hot. even though they drove a crappy car and smelled like cheap diner food.
"Did anyone hold a grudge against your family?"
"No."
"Do you know anyone who has started to act weird within the last month, a close friend or family member?"
"Only our grandma, but she has dementia."
"Thank you. We'll be in touch"
"Um this was an animal attack wasn't it?"
"Of course, we're just covering all our bases."
They knew something i didn't. I followed their car to a sketchy motel in downtown. I stood there debating on whether I should knock on the door and ask them, or just go back to my aunts house. That's when they pinned me against the wall and started asking more questions. I didn't even see them come out of their room.
"Why'd you follow us here?" he said it in a hard voice, but his eyes showed sympathy.
"You know it wasn't an animal that killed my family, so what was it." I spit the words at him, they sounded desperate, not strong and angry like I'd hoped.
Sighing he said " come inside, your probably not going to believe us anyway." So i went into the strangers motel room, and he was right i almost didn't believe what he said, almost.
