August 30th
I arrive at the Malfoy Manor. As I walk up the cobblestone path, the summer air comforts me. I stand in front of the massive door. I read my letter for the last time,
Dear Alexa,
Come to my house tonight. I have something special for you.
-Draco
I ring the doorbell. Draco answers, and regards me intently. "Hey, come in." He says. I enter the mansion in awe. The hall is about as big as 10 of my living rooms and in the middle of it is a Slytherin Crest.
Draco grabs my hand and drags me upstairs. After climbing up about 25 yew wood steps, Draco and I stand together in a polished hallway. He throws green powder into a fireplace. "Please tell me that isn't..." Draco shoots me look. "Do your parents know about this?" I ask. "Of course not," Draco replies with a wink. I smile, and we enter the fireplace. "Diagon Alley," Draco commands. Green whirls around us, and soon we are at Diagon Alley.
"Where are we going?" I ask, as Draco and I walk down the sidewalk. "Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour." Draco says lightly. I sigh. I know where this is going.
"Chocolate for me, vanilla for her." says Draco, and I'm handed a cone with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. He pays the cashier, and I moan silently. I hate him paying for me. We sit down on a bench, and start chatting and eating.
"This is so good," I gush. Draco smiles, happy knowing I like what be gave me. "Want a taste?" Draco taunts. "Ew, I am not eating your spit." I reply.
Draco stares at people in the street. "What is it?" I ask. Draco points to a man about 7 feet tall and covered in hair. "Is that a giant?" Draco says, disgusted. But I'm staring at the boy next to him. I melt just watching him. Oh, his dreamy green eyes.
"Why did you just stare and drool at him?" Draco asks, outraged. I am speechless. "I didn't drool at him." I reply. "Yes you did. If you don't have eyes for me, then this is over." Draco huffs. "I DO have eyes for you. Just one little thing doesn't break it." I protest. "I don't believe you." Draco slaps some Floo powder into my hand. "Just go home. I'll buy a robe with this extra money. We're done ok." Draco storms away to Madam Malkins, leaving me on the verge of tears.
That same boy looked over his shoulder and gave me a sorrowful look. After that, I Flooed home, sat on my bed, and cried.
