You Are Always There For Me

You Are There For Me
As the rays of the sun hit the treetops, I think,
I love you as much as the warmth of the sun.
As the brightness of the moon casts shadows among the streets, I think,
I love you as much as the flawlessness of the moon.
As the twinkling of the stars light up the dark sky, I think,
I love you as much as the glimmering of the stars.
Everyday I think of how safe I am,
You are only so far away, and you would come for me in a heartbeat.
There are many people in this world, who are
uncaring, cold, passionless,
who don’t love like you do.
There are many people in this world, who are
selfish, greedy, self-indulgent,
who wouldn’t risk it all, like you would.
I can try and show you how much I really care,
but nothing can describe it,
You’ll just need to believe me.
I wrote this about five minutes ago, and I'm giving it to my dad for his birthday. I absolutely LOVE writing deep poetry! I thought I would share it with all of you, but please don't take this and use it. Thanks, I hope you enjoyed it.
