You're Finished

You're heart is beating really fast; you wish you'd missed the blast. The blast that sent you back in time, the time when you would've bet ten-million dimes that he was perfect; you two were set. You said, "He's here to stay," but now you lay and remember and a tear slips, but you try so hard to get a grip and can't because all you want is to get him back. You didn't do anything to deserve this fabrication of a situation that didn't even happen. Now he's gone. So you sing out that song that you both loved. He said, "Forever," and you knew he meant "Never," but still you stayed because you hoped things could change. They didn't, and now your crying on the couch that you two were on when you first realized you loved him. The sun will never shine for you again, what's the point? He kicked the can. You scream, "I just want my sanity!" He's gone and your done. Your done with lying to yourself, the belt finally snapped. That's why you just ate another bottle cap.
