Trapped
WINTER 1955, a huge snow storm has Jenny Cole and her friends Christina Hampton and Peter Walsh and Jenny's schol teacher, Mrs. O'Brian trapped in a old library that they are certain is haunted. They become even more worried when Mrs. O'brian goes missing in the big building.
As Jenny walked up to the oldest building in town, the James Memorial Library, she could swear she heard ghosts hooing in the cold night air. The old building had been closed for a couple of years now and nobody but Jenny's school teacher, Mrs. O'Brian, her two friends, Christina Hampton and Peter Walsh, where there to help her with solving the mystery of this place. Fear swept over her like a broom sweeping across the floor. She was Jenny Cole! She was supposed to be afraid of anything! She had solved mysteries that no detective could ever get three clues on, she had gone into caves and on to old fields, grave yards and into houses that nobody had lived in for years. She had never been afraid of any of those things. So why was she scared now? Maybe God was trying to hint something to her. Like maybe she wasn't supposed to go in there. Maybe something terrible was going to happen.
as Mrs. O'Brian opened the two huge doors of the library, Jenny has chills running down her spine. She looks over at Christina and Chrissie gives her a look as if to say, "we shouldn't be here." Jenny walks into the to-quite building and goes to the front desk. she starts looking though a pile of papers that could be clues. She had permission from the mayor to take what ever she needed for clues. there where three mysteries to this place. #1- why did it close down when thousands of people would come everyday. #2- when it shut down, nobody mentioned the library again. #3- why does everyone hear ghosts in the upstairs part of the building. These where the three things that Jenny was determined to find out. The papers she had picked up where mostly fines that people owed concerning overdue books. She saw names written on each of the ten pages. she flipped though them and saw at the very last page- Margret Cole. That was her mother who had died the same year the Library closed down. something wasn't write. either the ghosts that live here aren’t crazy about everyone inclosing on their territory or the ghosts, are really people.
