im sitting here wondering why i ever felt for you
why i ever wasted my time with you
but for me it wasnt a waste it was the best time of my life
to have you by my side was like having the world

you gave me everything i could have ever wanted
i just never did the same
no wonder you drifted so quickly
how could i have just let it happen
i should have fought for you

if i could turn back the hands of time id take it back to then
if i could build a time machine id change alot of things
id go back to where it all went wrong
then i'd keep you by my side
