A broken heart is like a broken mirror 1

"What?!" I scream. "I know your good friends and all but do we have to" Let me explain. My name is Nicolette Marie Smith, though most people call me Nicky. I'm 16 and I live in Maryland. Last summer I had a really bad break up with my boyfriend who I had been dating for 6 months. He had cheated on me with my now best friend, Rachel! And now my parents are saying that I have to spend a whole week with him in our house in North Carolina. "Look I'm sorry honey but I'm sure you'll manage" my dad says from behind his newspaper. I grab some toast and go upstairs to my room. Then I get my phone and text my BFFs Rachel, who Jake my ex cheated on me with, and Kaleigh. 
Me: "OMG parents are making me spend a whole week with Jake"
I knew Kaleigh was out with her family and wouldn't reply for a while but Rachel texted me:
Rachel: "OMG!!!! I feel soooo bad for you! That's gonna be so awkward!"
Me: "Ikr! And plus his room will be right next to mine!" 
Rachel: "Hey I really want to talk to you but I gtg. I'll ttyl ASAP! Biiii luv ya!"
Dang it! The one person I need to talk to right now is busy. Right then I get a text from Jake.
Jake: "I hear we get to spend a whole week together, ;)"
Oh and I forgot to mention, ever since we broke up he's tried his hardest to annoy me.
Me: "Ya! :'( and don't try anything"
Jake: "Oh come on! I know you want to date all this"
Me: "Uh, Noooo! I don't and good bi!!!"
Ugh he is such a conceited jerk! I have to admit that he is pretty cute. But I have absolutely no feelings for him. I spend the rest of the day packing. Today is Wednesday and we leave Friday. I have a feeling that this will be the longest week in my life..
