My Poem For Vixen

I know that poems aren't my strong point, but, whatever. :P

You were one of my best friends,
Now I just can’t believe it ends,
With so much more to say.
How did I get so lucky,
With meeting this fine ducky?
You somehow kept my feet goin’ every day.
You thought I had gone,
So you sang me a sad song,
Which brought me to tears of sadness and joy.
Now I’m hoping to return the favour,
And I hope you like the flavour,
Because just know, this is not the style I enjoy.
Vixen, I know it’s like I’ve been stuck by cupid,
It’s not like you’re deleting, so why do I feel so stupid?
It’s weird, that’s all I’ve got to say,
It feels like, you taking a piece of me away,
Care for that piece, nurture and raise it,
Make it grow into a flower, and praise it,
As I will do the same for you back here,
Because indeed, a piece of you is still with me, my dear.
Just know, that friends may be apart,
Maybe in distance,
But never in heart.
