Chapter 1
First And Only Chapter
"Wow" Max thought as a sea turtle passed, just missing his arm. Below him, a school of a variety of fish passed an ananome just as 2 clown fish were exiting. Jenny came up behind him and scared him half to death. "Ahh!" Max gurgled, mistaking her for a shark. "Crybaby, lets head back to shore. We can come back another time" she mummbled, at least it sounded like she did, but who can tell underwater. Max followed jenny to the surface of the water, taking one last glance at the ocean floor.
Five minutes later they were on the beach. Max sighed at the thought of coming back to reality. To be truthful, he wasn't part of the 'in crowd' at school. Actully, he got bullied alot in school, but when he told his parents they thought it was just a phase. Max never really liked his paarents. He had no unique connection to them. Sometimes, he thinks he was adopted, even though his sister, Jenny, denies it.
"Were home" Jenny yelled even though she knew it was worthless, considering they're mom was a lawyer and they're dad was a docter, so they were both gone alot. "See you later" Max murmmerd as he climbed the stairs. "Where are you going?" Jenny asked. "Home work" he replied. Max sat on his bed and gazed into the body length mirror, seeing the same thing he saw daily; Black hair, sky blue eyes, strong jaw and a built body. The only thing Max didn't like about his appearence was his crooked teeth. He looked alot like his older sister, Jenny, except she had green eyes, long blue-black hair and she was popular. "Can i come in?" a sweet voice snaped him out of his facade. It was his girlfriend, Courtney. "Who is it?" Max asked with a devilsh grin on his face; he only said that to annoy her. "Is it Courtney?" he questioned. "NO! Its Micheal Jackson! Who else?" replied Courtney, sarcasm layed thick in her voice. "Come in" Max sighed. "What are you waiting for?" He said as she walked into th room. Courtney had long, blond hair and emreled green eyes. Max was lucky to have her; out of all the guys she could have, she picked him."So, how was your scuba diving?"she asked. "Great" he mutterd, then launched into his story.
After Courtney left, Max wandered downstairs to help with lunch. When he got there Jennny was blabbing away on the phone with her friends. On the table lunch was ready; so much for helping. He sat down and started munching down his hotdogs and french fries.
After lunch, Max cleaned up and sprinted outside to enjoy the good weather while it lasted. The forcast for this week was supposed to be rain, rain and more rain.
As Max was approching the field, he saw something shiny near a pole. Its probably just a piece of glass, thought Max. As he got closer, he saw that it was a ring. It had a large diamond face and a gold band. On the band, the words 'Amielia Earhart, My Angel' was engraved on the inside of the ring. Hundreds of questions flew threw Max's mind, each on more ridiculous as the last. He decided on this question: Was this really Amielia Earhart's?
