(RE-POSTED) Just to Be With You
My internet and Qubblo was being stupid and posted the same chapter multiple times and I had no way to delete them.
So, I'm starting over :(
I still hope you enjoy!
Chapter 1
Just My Imagination
Michael had just finished his first, successful solo Bad World Tour, and finally gave in to the idea to relax for a couple weeks. It was rare for him to take a vacation being a perfectionist and all, but Jarvis wouldn't leave him in peace until he agreed to take a break.
They were checking out yachts for Michael to spend time on whenever he wanted to depart from the hotel nearby for a while.
Lenny, a sailer who spent half of his life researching mythogical creatures, showed them around. He had beautiful baby-blue eyes, a round button nose, a few freckles that spotted across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose, and short blonde hair that brought out his unique appearance.
It wasn't long before Michael fell in love with a shiny red yacht floating near the docks.
"I like that one!" he exclaimed like a child immediately falling in love with a toy they want.
"It's a bit pricey, don't you think?" Jarvis reasoned.
Michael shrugged as he carefully climbed on board. "It's everything I want in a boat."
"How long you renting?" Lenny asked, his strong country accent kicking in.
Michael looked over at Jarvis.
"Maybe five to six weeks. He needs all the rest he can get." Jarvis repsonded.
Michael groaned to himself at the time-length of his relaxation.
"Well, I'll let you take a look and come back in a couple minutes to see if this is what you really want." With that, Lenny left them alone.
While Jarvis examined the outside, Michael went through the door that led to the medium size living room and a short set of stairs leading below the deck.
The room contained a built-in flatscreen, a few white couches, and a small white table.
Michael went below and looked around, finding a private bedroom in the back. A small kitchen was to the right of the entrance and next to the bathroom that set across from the bedroom. Small windows lined the walls to overlook the crystal-clean sea.
Michael walked over to a window and peered out. He saw things of the ordinary: trees, water, docks, sky, ect. Then she caught his attention out the corner of his eye.
What's that?, he thought to himself as he looked closer.
It appeared to be a girl staring back at him under water. When he finally got a better look, his eyes went wide.
Startled that she was seen, she quickly fled from his sight. Michael squeezed his eyes shut, and then re-opened them. He rubbed his throbbing forehead.
"Jarvis's right. I do need to rest..." he slumped in a seat nearby.
But he couldn't help but to think back about the girl he just saw. There were so many questions that needed to be answered.
Who was she?
Why was she here?
What was she doing under water?
What if she... was a mermaid?
Nah, it's just my imagination, Michael thought to himself as he walked back up to the deck where Lenny and Jarvis awaited.
