Henry chattered nonstop as we walked to school,something about a boy named Vlad and evil teachers..I don't know and I didn't care."Hey,You even paying attention Brie?"He asked.I nodded my head,my mind back in New York.

"No you-Hey there's Vlad,"he said.I looked over my sunglasses at the boy.He was the same age as me and Henry,his eyes were dark,darker than most people's,he had messy black hair that stood out against his pale skin,he was taller than me..most guys were.

Henry and Vlad seemed happy to stand there and talk,I really didn't feel like being late.

"You guys coming or you going to stand around gossiping all day?"I smiled slightly,taking the sting out of my words.Vlad seemed to notice me for the first time,but didn't say anything.He and henry walked on ahead talking and acting like typical guys.Never would understand guys,they're just as weird as cats,and I should know,I am one.

I hissed at the thought,being what I am is the exact reason my parents were killed.Vlad and Henry glanced back at me startled,I glared at them over my sunglasses,my eyes briefly turning more gray and slit like.Vlad seemed to be the only one that noticed,his dark eyes widened and he looked puzzled.

Henry just seemed not to notice and picked up where he left off talking to Vlad.I could see the school and brushed between them,and sped up,almost running.I just wanted to get away from their happy chatter and unknowing lives
