about how one arrow can save a city
Chapter 1
another
I listened for the familiar sound of a carriage, finally I herd it. I aimed my arrow in my bow. My job was simple I was to shoot at the first sign of trouble. My comrade Jake jumped in front of the carriage forcing it to grind to a halt. Luke and James emerged from the trees holding up there swords. The carriage door swung open, a small skinny man stepped out "I'm but a poor fellow I beg you to steal from others but not me," the man whimpered.
"alas we can not, for we know off your gold and jewels," Jake smiled playing with his dagger. Fear washed over the mans face "you shan't take my gold and jewels, I shall not let you," the man spat. I jumped from my perch in the tree and landed softly on the roof of the wagon. I held my arrow up to his head "I am sure we can make an understanding," I whispered in his ear. He stepped away from the door my arrow shadowed his moves. Luke and James entered the carriage, and a little while after came out with 2 bags. The man cursed at us but we payed no attention, we left the carriage and the now grumpy man. I sat next to Jake "that went well," he said with a smile, I sigh "no one was killed today," I agrees slowly.
