It's Complicated
Okay so this is a story combining three different series of books; Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Sword of Truth. Characters, settings, and some events were constructed in the minds of J. K. Rowling, Rick Riordan, and Terry Goodkind.
Chapter 1
Introductions
For some, this is going to be very confusing, so here I am explaining how this is all gonna tie in. The protagonist is a confessor, a woman who with only a touch can control you for as long as she lives. She can weed out lies from the truth, and is sworn to protect the Seeker of Truth in his Quest, which changes with every seeker. This character is based on the original confessors of the Midlands, created by Terry Goodkind.
In this story the world where the confessors came from has fallen. A wizard of great power managed to save the protagonist Lindsey's confessor mother by sending her to the world in which magic exists, but is hidden from nonmagical folk at all costs (the one we live in). Lindsey's mother is inpragnated by the god Apollo, making the child both a confessor and a demi-god. She was raised by her mother, living the life commonly led by half-bloods, until one day they recieved a letter of acceptance from the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Lindsey attends the school for most of her first year (she is in the same year as Harry Potter but they aren't really friends) and on summer holiday, her mother is killed by a monster from Lindsey's demi-god blood, and her dying wish is that Lindsey find Sally Jackson.
Sally Jackson has no clue who lindsey or her mother are but being the sweet woman she is, takes Lindsey in. It is early June and Lindsey is 12 years old, the same age as fellow demi-god, Percy Jackson. Sally manages to get Lindsey into Yancy academy with Percy. No one but Lindsey knows the extent of her power, being a witch, a daughter of Apollo, and a confessor. This was just the basics. Here begins the tale of Lindsey Rahl.
