Livin' the Life... with a Smooth Criminal
An old story of mine I came across on my computer =D
Based off of MoonWalker.
Chapter 1
Prologue
July 16th, 1985
The black Mercedes sped down the road; every building and the beauty of Mother Nature under the moonlight flashed outside the window as fast as lighting.
Michael frequently looked back, not sure if they were still following behind.
"I wouldn’t be in this mess if it wasn’t for you." Chandelle complained, feeling uncomfortable as she sat in the passenger seat.
Michael shook his head. "It’s your own damn fault. You're the one who followed me when I told you not to."
"Do you have any idea, how tempting you can be?? For God’s sake, Michael, you almost got killed just for flirting with two women!"
"That guy didn’t give a damn about those women. He just didn’t like me."
Chandelle clawed at her face. "Uuuugh, I rather be at home right now than stuck with you!"
"Y'know, if we were still at the hotel room; you wouldn't be complaining right now." Michael said with a sly smirk as he began driving onto a bridge that hovered over a large river.
"Shut it, Jackson." she snapped, trying to hide the smile that threatened to appear across her face.
Michael chuckled under his breath.
Chandelle noticed something brightly glowing ahead. "What's that?"
Michael looked closer, his eyes growing wide per second.
It's them. he thought.
The headlights began getting closer within every inch of the distance between them.
Chandelle’s heart beat rapidly sped up as the cars were about to clash.
"Michael!!" she screamed as he swerved to avoid them.
But only to their dismay, the Mercedes jumps off the bridge.
Chandelle's heart drops into the pit of her stomach as she clings to Michael.
The car plunges into the body of water; the large ripples disturbing the once calm river.
