This Strange New Life

I'm sitting on my bed with my laptop checking facebook and telling all my friends good bye here in Panahma City, FL. "Starr, honey, Are you all packed up for tomorrow?", Mom yelled from downstairs. "Yes ma'am I'm on facebook saying good bye to everyone." I replied. I really did want to move but i also didn't want to at the same time, we were moving to Forks, Washington so I could start over a new life. I recently have been bullied, well actually harrassed because everybody was calling me inappropriate names. You name it they said it.

My ex-boyfriend Cody was telling everybody we slept together and that we did disgusting things. Within truth we did sleep together, but I thought he truly loved me and we were supposed to get married on his next birthday. But the point is we didn't do anything disgusting! I waisted 5.5 years with the loser. My best friends Riley and Lily were the only ones that were always there, especially for those horrible times.

I'm gonna miss them, I hope to see them again soon. "Starrshine!" called a familiar voice. It was Riley! He was in my door with a smile. I swear he looks hot, him and that perfect white smile, brown hair that swoops to the side, green eyes that dazzle me, skinny with a 6 pack and he's 17. He's hot but he's dating Lily and she's my age and we kinda look alike, except I have green eyes, bronze colored long hair, 5'1 and I'm white as bone. We both are toothpick skinny, and have pearly white teeth. She just has blonde shoulder length hair and hazel eyes, extremely tan, and has Riley.

I swear I lucked out anyway Riley has liked me since Kindergarten and still does. "So Starrshine are you ready?" He asked. I looked at him puzzled, ready for what I thought? "Ready for what?" "You moving tomorrow silly." "Oh that." i looked down and started to tear up. He saw that and walked across the room, sat on the bed and curled me up in his arms. "Now don't cry love. Things won't change, I mean just because you're moving doesn't change things. I promise." I just layed there in his arms, and I looked up at him and tried to smile. "That a girl Starrshine, I knew you could smile. You know just because I'm with Lily doesn't change the feelings I have for you. I still love you. Actually now that I think about it Lily and I aren't going out anymore because she cheated on me with Cody." I started to cry and be infuriated at the same time.

How could she do that to Riley?! As i started to get angry Riley pulled my chin up leaned in and kissed my lips softly. I kissed him back and then put my hands in his hair. I was leaving this really great guy who loves me. I pulled back and looked at him, his face confused but sorta satisfied. Like he got my attention after all these years. "Riley, look. You're sweet and I realize now after 10 years I love you too but..." "But you don't think that a long distance relationship would work." It wasn't a question, he knew the answer.

"I will always love you and now that I know that you love me too then I can live with that. I love you even when God comes down to earth to reclaim his people. I promise you that." I knew he was serious, I loved him more than I should have, and deep down I think I always felt the same feelings but I hid them. "Do you want to stay for dinner? We're having McDonalds." He laughed at me and nodded and kissed my lips again.

It was 12pm and our flight was at 1:30, Riley was over to tell me he loved me and he'd come see me soon. Lily must have heard about last night and was still pretty peeved. Oh well its her own falt. "Are you ready Starr?" mom asked. "Yeah, just 1 more photo and then we can head off." I replied. Just then Lily drove up, hugged me, took a couple of pics and then left. "I'll miss you Lily!" But then she was gone. Well I guess moving day is finally here.
