I explain why every time I mention it:
I'm in college. I'm in a trade program (trade as in 'career' not 'trade student') for something I actually want to do with my future. I pay for my schooling.
I feel at home in the workshops my classes and courses reside in, and It's something i actually want to be there for.
College is not the same as high school.
So why do I get down rated when I say 'I miss the workshops' or 'I'm ready to go back'?

That's most kids' reason for liking school.
most of my friends don't even go to my college, though i have made friends with a few of my classmates.
It will be cool to see them again, but that's not really got any bearing on my excitement to go back.
