The Mute Chatot (A Pokemon Story)
This only has one chapter. :) I'm doing this for a contest, made by PhoenixPheather.

Once upon a time, there was a Chatot, who could not talk; mute.
It had lost it's voice in a battle with another Chatot. It was said, that once a year, 2 chatot's are chosen to fight each other. They know it's there turn when a arrow is fired at their direction. Then, they meet at the sacred river.
It was the first battle, and this hasn't happened in 1,000 years, because it had been sealed up, but now it has been broken, because a Pidgey was pecking the seal.
The arrow fired, and hit 2 chatots. They met in the river. And began their fight. One was strange. It had a piano note on it's forhead, the colour of the grass. The normal one used Quick Attack, and the other one used Wing Attack.
They were both pushed back. They were fighting on a slim, long log. Whoever falls in looses their voice for a decade.
They fought with the same attacks. But then, the normal Chatot used a different move. Quick Attack. It ended the battle quickly. It pushed the Piano Note Chatot into the water roughly.
As it fell in, it sank to the bottom, and the mark on it's forhead soon disappeared. The curse... someone had cursed the mark. Fore it had disappeared.
~10 Years Later (Decade)~
The one with the piano note (Gone) had not regained it's voice. It was still silent. A curse. A curse once made in a thousand years, all started with Dialga. It was it, who put the curse on the Chatot's, because they used sing, and Dialga ended sealed up for a millelium (Idk how to spell :P)
It was raged, and had put a curse on them. And, it had brought the curse to this little Chatot, a innocent one. The little Chatot had heard of this curse, but was not sure. But, now he knows that it is.
It was now living it's life, silent. It remained. Forever...

Critiqing time!
Plotline: The concept is good, and the plot works relatively well. 4/5.
Battle scene: it was pretty choppy, and it had a lot of potential. Instead of just hitting back and forth, maybe you could have added status moves and a bit more detail. 2/5.
Grammar and spelling- other than a few mistakes, it was okay. You could've used more compound sentences. 3/5.
Etcetera: the bit about the lodger I feel was not needed, like Dialga.
Ack. The autocorrect turned Pidgey into Lodger. Derp.
Anyways, you get 3/5, giving a pre-judging total of 12/20. That's pretty good. Deffinately met my standards in fan fiction. Thanks for a fun read!
It's a little short, and I was hoping for a happy ending, but it is a good tale, I am a little curious tho, how did those arrows hit the Chatot? They weren't like realy arrows that go through and kill you were they?
LOL, I actually was supposed to put down Hit their nest or something like that, but i guess I got carrierd away with other things, and yea. :P
