Later that night, Leo crept into my room, and woke me up. I was surprised, but sorta happy. He sat next to me. "Er, whats up?" I ask. "Sorry for waking you, but this is the only time we'll get alone." My heart leaped at those words, but I contained myself, knowing he's not going for that. "It's okay. Continue." I said, curious. "I was wondering why all the others can't know about us." I smile. "About what?" I knew the answer, I just wanted to hear him say it out loud. "You know....us...going out." I nod, still smiling. "2 reasons. One, all they'd do is pester us, and two, I've never had a secret relationship....it sounds fun." He chuckles softly, before standing. "This won't last long, you know." He whispers on the way out. I smile, and turn the light off. I drift back to sleep.

Literally. I have a huge headache. And I'm kinda struck by love, like in the song. I think, at least. I sit up in bed, my eyes bright. There was something special about today, I just knew it. Just a hunch. I wash up, and dress up to go to work. The hospital work. "Morning." I say, finding Alex watching TV, an Justin reading a magazine. "Morn." The respond in the same, bored tone. Justin always reads. Everyday, whether its a newspaper, a book, a magazine, anything, he reads it. Just in the morning, and I'm guessing at night. He claims its just because he enjoys it, but I think he wakes up really early, and runs out of things to do. I fix up some breakfast, and hurry next to Alex. Short after, Selene bursts out of her room, saying, "Just got off the phone with Max. For some reason, we all get the day off!" She was grinning with glee. We all smile. Oh....Less time at work means more time for questions. Splendid. After about half an hour all of us were planning out our day together, or alone. Justin planned to go to do the groceries, and Selene agreed to go with him. Alex was going to go visit an old friend. That just left Leo and me. "Uhh, I think I'll stay home today." I say, not truly meaning it. I hoped with all my heart that Leo would say the same. "Oh. I'm going ice skating. Our uncle owns the rink not far from here, and today it's empty." He says grinning. My heart droops. Wow. Now I'm left home alone. Ugh. "Well, I'm heading out then." Alex said, standing, and going towards the door. Justin and Selene followed shortly after. "Well....have fun I guess." I say to Leo, while laying down on the now empty couch. "What do you mean?" He asks, amused. "Uh, you are going ice skating right?" He laughs. His laugh warms your soul. It makes me smile. "Yeah, but not alone." I blush a bright red. "I...I haven't skated in years though. I'll fall." "Oh come on...I haven't either. It'll be fun." He says, smiling that smile. His eyes were twinkling at me, or it was just the light. "Fine." After we get there, and put on the heavy skates, we get to the edge of the ice. I look at him, who was also looking at me, almost laughing. I felt his hand slide into mine, and flush a light pink. After about 5 minutes of getting used to the slippery, wet ice under our feet, we bravely started skating. We were laughing, falling, laughing some more, getting up, and starting all over again. I let out a yelp as I fell, my hand still in his. That made him go down as well, right on top of me. My face turns red with laughter, as he struggles to get up, and falls again. He chuckles. We both stop when we realize our faces were just inches apart, so close to feel the warmth pulsing from our red cheeks. He reached over, and grazed his thumb on my cheek. I smiled. We gazed in each others eyes just for a few moments, before he lightly pushed his lips on mine. (To make things clear, he's practically on top of you ^-^) I gently kiss back, instantly feeling warm. We just lay there and kiss for a while, until we hear a deep voice yell, "Hey! Not on my rink!" Leo slowly pulls away, his eyes opening in a lazily fashion. His mouth was in a perfectly happy smile, making me light up. We didn't say a word. That would break the feeling that was in the air. We took our time getting up, not taking the risk of falling again. Hand in hand, we gradually made our way to solid, non-frozen ground. It felt good to take off the boots, and stretch your numb toes. We were just about to walk out together, when Leo, turned around, and yelled, "Thanks Joe!" After a bit we heard his uncle yell back. "Any time kid.....anytime." I smiled. We both walked to the car, hidden smiles on our faces. We slammed the doors shut in the car. I dared to flash a look at him. I slowly turned my head, until our eyes made the smallest contact. We instantly burst with laughter. I brushed the back of my hand on his cheek, and gave him a quick kiss, loving the feeling of his lips on mine. I started to pull away, but he pulled me closer, deepening the kiss even more. I felt my heart churning. We both pull away. My eyes widen. I glance at the time. "Oh......poop(imagine the s word there. dear quibblo wouldn't let me post)." I said. "What?" "I think everyone's home by now. We'll have some explaining to do." He smirks. "I told you so-" "Or....we could have you walk in first, and pretend you didn't know I ever left." I say, a sly grin formed on my lips. He started driving. "Well...okay then." He says, after we parked. "Here are the keys, you go ahead and lock the car up when you decide to have a normal relationship." He says, grinning. I sarcastically smile. I watch as he opens the door, looks back at me, then walks in. I heard my stomach growl. I groan. Out of any time, why do I have to be hungry now? I wait in agony for about 10 more minutes, and rush into the apartment. I doubled checked that I locked Leo's car. I open the door. Everyone was staring at me, except Leo. He was in the kitchen, struggling not to laugh. I clear my throat, and lock the door. "Uh...Hi everyone." I say, setting my stuff down on the counter. Justin smiles his hello, Alex waves, and Selene has......a very.....weird look. She's smiling too, but....she knows something. Ugh...she knows. I quickly eat something, shoulder to shoulder with Leo. I sigh, and head to my room afterward. I suddenly wished I was alone, without any roommates. I quickly shoved that away, knowing that I loved all of them. They were my friends. Best friends even. I sit and think for a while, letting my thoughts run free. After a while, I got bored, and decided to face the truth. Literally. I get up out of bed, and open the door, bumping into Selene. She grinned, and pushed me back inside my room. "Yes....Selene?" I say, sitting down. "So, anything to tell me?" She asked. I thought long and hard, hoping it was her birthday or something. "Er, no. Unless you changed your birthday." She laughed. "Ah.... I was hoping to get something out of you. Anyway, enjoy whatever secret you have while it lasts." She stands up, straightens her shirt, and walks out, leaving me alone in my room. My brain was buzzing. So she doesn't know. I grin. The secret relationship is still a go.
