kid in a candy store is a fictional point of view story about a small girl named Kandie and her mother Candace. the story takes place in Baltimore, maryland. there is a situation inside the Sweet Tooth candy emporium and there are four different views on this "problem".....
this was an assighnment for my english class last year....i got an A+ so i thought i would share it =) enjoy!
This morning I woke up to the sound of the busy streets of Baltimore Maryland. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen where I watched mommy make chocolate chip pancakes.
"Good morning Kandie!" mommy said all cheerful and happy.
I didn't respond.
"I know these past few days haven’t been easy for you…..with your father not being around and all."
I didn't respond.
"So I've decided to take you to Sweet Tooth!" She said excited and happy.
"You did?!?!?!!?!?" I replied sounding just as happy as she was.
I ran up to mommy, gave her a big hug and whispered,
"Thank you."
She wrapped her arms around me and stroked my hair. I ran upstairs to brush my teeth and get ready to go.
About an hour later, mommy and I arrived. I ran up to the giant glass doors and stood on my tippy toes to reach the huge silver handles. I swung the heavy doors open and walked into what looked like a candy wonderland. There was candy everywhere! Every candy you could think of. There were Gummy Spiders, Gummy Worms, Jolly Ranchers, Gummy Jolly Ranchers, Skittles, Sour Skittles, Cookies n' Cream Hershey Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and so much more!
But my favourite was Gummy Bears. So I ran up to that aisle and there were Regular Gummy Bears, Sour Gummy Bears, Giant Gummy Bears, and Mini Gummy Bears. But I went crazy for the Red Gummy Bears.
I began to eat the free samples of caramel squares.
"You can have whatever you want." I heard mommy say from behind me. But when I reached for a Red Gummy Bear, I heard a voice yell,
"STOP!!!!"
