Mistake of a Lifetime

My best friend, Milly, sits on my bed waiting for me to return with our drinks. My little sister, Cate, types on the computer with her feet dangling from the stool. I can't believe that she's going to be in the same exact school as me. Ugh. I find myself daydreaming and quickly go to the fridge to get the drinks. When i finish getting the drinks I go back up to Milly.
"Hey." Milly greets me as I walk in the room
"Hey." I greet back
"So what now?" Milly asks sitting back on my bed
"Dumb homework then lets talk about the party tonight." I replied smiling at the last part
"Fine by me." Milly says grabbing her book bag
I get my stuff and sit down on my soft bed and get to working.
"Why do teachers give us homework?" Milly asks putting her pencil down
"So they can make us suffer." I replied laughing
"Ha. I don't even think that they don't know that we have lives." Milly jokes laughing
"No. It's so we can become smart." Cate says breaking the joking atmosphere
"We were joking." I say annoyed
"Whatever. If you wanna go to that party tonight then you'll have to take me or I'll tell mom." Cate threatens
"How did you find out?" I ask squinting
"I know my people and I know who to talk to in order to find out who is throwing parties then I threaten you to take me." Cate says shrugging
"Your to smart." I say "But I guess i can take you."
"Good." Cate says walking into my room
We talk about when and how we are going to get out, when we were going to leave, and who's car we are taking.
