The Chosen One Or His Best Friend? Decisions, Decisions... (A Harry/Ron Love Story PART 3)

~Harry Potter~
I sighed a breath of relief. I had a huge smile as I walked over to the Gryffindor table. I sat next to Hermione and across from Harry and Ron. All the other first years were sorted into their houses. Seamus and Dean were sorted into Gryffindor too.
After the sorting was finished, Dumbledore stood up. "Let the feast...begin." Food suddenly appeared on the tables. There were gasps and laughs. The food looked delicious. As we ate, Ron introduced us to his older brothers. There was the twins, Fred and George and the oldest, Percy. He had a little sister too, Ginny, but she wouldn't be at Hogwarts until next year. We all talked and laughed throughout the feast. When it was over, Dumbledore stood up again. The hall went silent.
"Prefects, if you would please direct your houses to their dormitories."
Percy stood up and so did a few other people. "Alright, Gryffindors. Follow me." Percy said. All the Gryffindors first years followed him up a few cases of stairs. They frightened me a little because they liked to move. A lot. But we all got up the room together. We we arrived, Percy directed us to our rooms.
"Boys, dorms are up the stairs to your left. Girls, the same to your right." Percy explained when classes would start and how we would receive our schedules at breakfast tomorrow. When he finished, he went up to the boys dorm. I could tell already, he was very serious about school. Most of the Gryffindors stayed in the common room and talked. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Seamus, Dean and I got together in the corner away from everybody and talked about how excited we were, worried about getting good grades and all the usual stuff. People started retiring to their rooms gradually. Eventually, the only people left were the six of us.
I looked at the giant clock on the wall. It was getting really late. "Hey, guys. It's getting pretty late. I'm gonna get to sleep, so I can be awake and get on the teacher's good sides in the morning." I said. They laughed and Hermione said, "Good idea. Let's go." We got up and walked up the stairs. Before I went in the room, I looked over the edge and said, "Goodnight." I waved down to the guys. As I was turning back, I caught Harry's eye. I saw him smile. I smiled and waved one last time. I went into my room and changed into my pj's. I put my wand on the table next to my bed. I laid down and pulled the covers over me. I fell asleep, thinking. This is gonna be a great year.
"_ , wake up." Hermione said. I grumbled and pulled the covers over my head. She pulled them off and said, "Come on. We'll miss breakfast." "Fine, fine." I moaned. I slowly got up and made my way to my clothes. I put on my robes. I kept the robe part unbuttoned and loosened my tie a little. That's better. I put on a little mascara and combed my hair. When we were ready, we started heading down the stairs. We made our way to the Great Hall. Food was already on the table. We walked over to the Gryffindor table.
Me and Hermione sat down next to Fred and George, Harry and Ron across from us. "About time you two showed up." Fred said. "Oh, shut up." I said chuckling. "Hey, guys." I said to Harry and Ron. "Hey." they said. As we ate, we discussed our classes. "What do you have first?" I asked the three. "Potions." they all said. "Hey, me too!" "Great!" Harry said smiling. We had most of the same classes together. If we all didn't have the same class, then we at least had one of us in it. For example, I only had Charms with Hermione, Transfiguration with Ron and Defense Against The Dark Arts with Harry. Everything else we had together.
After breakfast, we headed down to Potions together. When we walked in, I got a little scared. The room was pretty dark and had a eerie feel to it. We all took our seats. Harry and Hermione sat in the second row behind me. I was in front. Ron was in front too, but on the other side. The seat to the left of me was empty. For now. Like, three seconds after I noticed it was empty, someone sat in it. And just my luck, it was Malfoy. He looked at me and rolled his eyes. "Great. What better way to start class than by sitting by you." "Oh, can it, Malfoy. I'd gladly change seats if I could." He didn't have a response, so he looked forward. I smiled, despite the fact I was sitting next to him. What a great way to start the day. Yeah... right.
~Ron Weasley~
I couldn't get that kiss out of my head. For three years I've known Ron and had no clue he liked me. No matter, I knew now. And I couldn't be happier. I didn't realize we were still holding hands when we walked in. The Weasley's all stared at us, then smiled. "It's about time, you guys." Fred and George said. For a second, I didn't know what they meant, then I looked down at our hands. I smiled and blushed a little. I looked over at Molly, who smiled a very motherly smile. "Come on, kids. Breakfast is ready." she said. We sat down at the table. I sat next to Ron, of course, and George and across from Ginny, who smiled an approving smile. I smiled back.
As we ate, we all just talked. We talked about our next year at Hogwarts. Ron and I were going into our third year, Ginny in her second, and Fred and George in their fourth. Our friends, Harry and Hermione, are third years too. As we talked, I looked out the window. I saw something flying towards the window. I squinted to see what it is. Oh, no! I got up and ran to the window. I opened it quickly and caught the Weasley's owl, Errol.
"Oh, thank you, _ !" Molly said. "We've had to repair that window six times already." Arthur said. I noticed something in Errol's beak. I grabbed whatever it was and let Errol outside. It was our Hogwarts supplies letters. "Oh, it's our letters." I said. I handed them out to everyone. We all looked at the lists. "Ooh. The spell books alone are pretty expensive." Fred said. "We'll manage. There's only one place to get these. Diagon Alley." Molly said. We finished eating and got ready to use the Floo Powder.
We gathered around the fireplace. "Alright, Percy. You first." Molly said. Percy grabbed Floo Powder, stepped into the fireplace and said, very clearly, "Diagon Alley." He threw the powder down and he disappeared into green flames. I was used to hoe bright it was, but I still have to close my eyes. "George, your turn." George did the same. Then Fred. "Ron, come on." Molly said. He kissed me quick and went into the fireplace. He disappeared. "Your turn, _ ." I stepped into the fireplace and grabbed the Floo Powder. "Diagon All-ACHOO!" I sneezed in the middle of saying it. I accidentally dropped the powder and I was engulfed in green flames. I slid out of a fireplace. It was very dirty. I didn't know where I was, but I knew it wasn't Diagon Alley.
"Damn." I said. I was in some kind of shop. I looked around. There was skulls and bones and all sorts of spooky stuff. "Oh, no. Not here." I knew where I was. Knockturn Alley. Not a place I want to be. Luckily, I'm pretty sure I knew how to get out. But I had to get out quick. Lots of creepy witches and wizards visited Knockturn Alley. I walked out of the store and started walking left. I kept my head down and didn't make eye contact. "Hello, deary." an old witch said. She had a high-pitched, whiny voice. I walked past her, not acknowledging her.
"Deary." she said, grabbing my arm this time. I tensed up. "Let go." I said, still not making eye contact. "Let me help you find your way." She tightened her grip. "I'm fine, really." "No, let me help." "Let go!" I yanked my arm away. She looked shocked. She slowly walked toward me with a strange look in her eye. She reached her arm out to grab me again, but I ran. I didn't run far. Just a little down the road. I turned a corner and leaned up against a building. "Great. Now I'm never gonna find my way out of here." I said to myself.
