My Tears Fall,But You Wipe Them Away

The rain was falling in sheets as a the young girl crossed the cobblestone path towards the gates that lead to the courtyard. Approaching the gate she knocked on the small a door, a tall,muscular knight looked down at the six-teen year old girl. “Why coming into the courtyard so late at night, miss?” he inquired “ Just on my way to visit a family friend, his name is Gaius, he works for the king.” she stated her voice was soft and gentle. The knights eyes widened “You are Miss Hale?” the girl nodded and smiled at him,Gaius , “Gaius told me to give this to you to let you know it was really me.” She handed him a letter opening it he read over it quickly and handed it back “ Right this way and I'll have someone take you to the king.” He opened the door and let the young girl through, her purple cloak blowing gently behind her in the wind. Leading her up the steps and into a very long hallway the knight opened a large door and bent down in front of her so he could whisper in her ear "This is the king,Uthur ” The girl nodded,as the knight bowed in front of the king, “ You majesty this is Miss Alice Hale, she is here to see Gaius.” The king stood up and walked over to Alice “ Welcome to Camelot,Miss Hale.” Alice smiled and curtsied, the king kept talking “ Gaius had to go to on a mission for me and will not be back for at least a month, his letter must not have reached you in time.” Alice looked at him face blank, where was she suppose to go now? She nodded and turned to walk out of the room. “ Miss Hale!” Uthur called “ I insist you stay with us until he returns.” Alice stopped and turned around the hood of her purple cloak falling to her shoulders, revealing auburn hair that fell to her back and a set of ice-blue eyes that against her blue skin shined very brightly. “ You mean in the palace?” Uthur nodded. Walked towards him she said “I'll stay with you only if you call me Alice.” Uthur smiled. “Alright,Alice.”
