Chapter 1
Dinner With The Devil
"Wynt, we're going to dinner with the Malfoys tonight!" My dad said. He was good friends with Mr. Malfoy, but I was not good friends with Draco.
"And you're telling me this because?" I said, hoping to get out of it.
"Get ready. It's casual, so you don't need to wear a dress." He said.
"Oh, it makes everything so much better. Joy." I said sarcastically.
"Draco is a nice kid." My dad said, coming in my room and invading my personal space.
"To who?" I asked. Me and Malfoy hated eachother. So much.
"Come on. Get ready! It'll be fun." He said, but I wasn't convinced.
"You can bring your iPhone." He sighed. I smiled and grabbed my iPhone.
"Get ready, we're leaving in half an hour." Dad said. I sighed.
"Fine. I'll be right there." I said.
"That's the spirit!" He said, then walked out of my room. I grabbed black skinny jeans and got a Shane Dawson T-shirt. I put it on, curled my hair, and put on eyeliner. I put on some eye shadow. I smiled in the mirror and brushed my teeth. When I went downstairs, my Dad was ready to go.
"Let's go." He said.
"Oh, joy." I said, and we went off to his house.
At Malfoy's House
We rang the doorbell, and Mr. Malfoy came and answered it.
"Ah, David, how nice to see you!" He said to my Dad.
"Lucius! It's been a while!" My dad said as they went to talk about random guy stuff. I sighed. Suddenly Draco came up.
"Summers." He said.
"Malfoy." I growled. He rolled his eyes.
"I'm supposed to show you to the table." He said.
"Well get on with it them we don't have all day." I said smirking. He rolled his eyes and showed me to the table. I sat down.
"Wynter, dear, how nice to see you!" Draco's mom said.
"You too, Mrs. Malfoy!" I said happily, shaking her hand. She always made me feel so at home. Ever since my mom died.
"How are you? Still going to be going to Hogwarts?" She asked.
"I've been fine, and yes, I'm still going to Hogwarts." I said.
"That's nice. Still so focused on school?" She asked.
"More than ever before." I said smiling.
"Ah, I see you still enjoy that muggle, Shane Dawson, am I right?" She asked.
"Yup. I don't reallly care that he's a muggle, he's really funny." I said. Malfoy scoffed beside me.
"Care to share?" I asked him.
"Oh, nothing, really. Just that muggles don't deserve to be praised by wizards." He said. That got me angry.
"May I be excused, Mrs. Malfoy?" I asked.
"Of course, dear." She said. I walked out and went outside. I sat down on a bench and got out my iPhone. I went on Youtube and started watching Shane Dawson to cool me off. I laughed quietly at his latest video. Suddenly my phone rang. I checked the ID and it said Harry.
"Hello?" I said into the phone after I answered it.
"Hey. What are you doing?" Harry asked.
"I'm at Malfoy's house." I said.
"What? Why?" He asked.
"My dad made plans without consulting me first." I said.
"The nerve." Harry said sarcastically.
"Still, I am sitting outside waiting because I can't stand being in the same room as Malfoy, so I'm waiting for my Dad to be done." I said.
"God, Malfoy is annoying." He said. I laughed, then heard a voice that was not Harry's voice and did not come from the phone.
"Whatcha doing out here?" It was Malfoy's voice.
"Whatcha doing talking to me?" I asked.
"Gotta go, Harry. I'll see you in Hogwarts next week." I said into the phone.
"Alright. Bye." Harry said, then I hung up.
"What do you want?" I asked Malfoy.
"Why are you just sitting out here?" He asked.
"Because I can't stand you." I said simply.
"Well, that's not a good reason." He said.
"If I can't stand you I can't stand being in the same room as you." I said.
"Come back inside. Your dad wants you." He said.
"He does?" I asked, suddenly a little happier.
"Yeah. Now come." He said. I nodded and walked in.
"Wynter, I have to go on a business trip and you'll be staying with the Malfoys until you go to Hogwarts." Dad said as soon as I was in.
"What?! Why can't I stay with Ron?" I asked.
"Because the Malfoys already offered." Dad said.
"Ugh! Why don't I have any say in this?" I said angrily.
"Young lady you are staying here and that's final." He said. I knew that tone. He was not going to change his mind.
"Fine. I won't like it though." I said. I pulled out my iPhone and called Harry.
"Hey Harry, guess what?" I said when he picked up. I walked out so nobody heard our conversation.
"What?" Harry asked.
"I have to stay with the Malfoys until next week. How fun." I said.
"What? You could've stayed with Ron like me!" He said.
"Well the Malfoys 'offered first.'" I said.
"Ugh. Well, at least at Hogwarts you can stay away from him as much as possible." Harry said, trying to look on the bright side.
"Yeah. Well, I got to go. Now I'm just so angry I need Shane Dawson." I said.
"Alright, bye." Harry laughed. He hung up, then I started watching Shane Dawson. Something was different. It didn't make me feel happy.
"Not happ about the little arrangement my parents made?" I heard.
"Malfoy go away before I do something I will regret." I said.
"Oh, someone's cranky." He said. I got up and raised my hand to slap him. Then I remembered what my Mom would do. So I punched him.
"Ah! What the bloody hell?" He exclaimed.
"Just leave me alone." I said.
"Come on, be nice." He said. I rolled my eyes.
"Well, I'm going to start packing for Hogwarts. I still hate you so whatever happens here doesn't mean anything." I said. I got up and went with my Dad to pack.
"And you're telling me this because?" I said, hoping to get out of it.

1. Er, iPhones didn't exist in harry's time and phones weren't there much back then. That's why jk Rowling made them send messages by owl, but otherwise it would be a good story?
i think shes trying to bring it to a more modern time
