This story is based off of Pokemon... I added a couple characters and one gym. Also, the main girl basically continually travels with Ash and Pikachu even after all the other have gone their separate ways... Her two Pokemon (the ones that never go into their Pokeballs) are Eevee and Pikachu. The main girl is Cameron May.

Chapter 1

Team Rocket... Again. -_-'

Pikachu jumped onto my shoulders.
"Pika!"
I smiled.
"I know... We'll be there soon, I promise Pikachu.."
"Vee."
I looked down at Eevee.
"Don't worry. If anyone tries to stop us, we'll deal with them like we do everyone else. We show our ID."
Pikachu got off my shoulders and walked next to Eevee. I sighed.
It shouldn't take us much longer to get to Veridian City...
I looked down when I felt Pikachu tugging at my arm.
"What's wrong??"
"Pika! Pikachu!"
I looked up when I heard talking. I put my finger to my lips to tell them to be quiet so we could listen.
"Ash, Misty. We should be nearing Veridian City..."
"Oh... You're right Brock... I haven't even noticed we'd come so far..."
Huh... Perhaps We could see how well they treat their Pokemon... Hopefully a lot better than some of the other trainers I've traveled with for a while...
I looked at Pikachu and Eevee.
"You two know the plan..."
They nodded.
"Pika."
"Vee."
I nodded.
"Good."
I jumped in front of the group.
"Hi There!"
I, of course, was wearing a different outfit and definitely not wearing my hat. It would give me being a trainer away...
"Uh... hi?"
I couldn't help but over hear, you're heading to Veridian City?"
"Yeah.."
"Great! I study Pokemon there, but I've never worked directly with Pokemon. but I'm also studying the relationships between Pokemon and their Trainers, and I figured you three would be the perfect group to travel with until we get there... I'll be able to study your relationships with your Pokemon while we travel."
"But..."
"oh, don't worry. We've only got a half hour until we get there if we travel at a constant speed. That gives me plenty of time to observe your relationship with them..."
A girl smiled.
"I think it's a great idea!"
I smiled.
"Alright, what about you two?"
both the guys nodded reluctantly. I smiled.
"But I'll need to know your names of course."
The girl looked at me.
"I'm Misty!"
"I'm Ash."
I looked to the guy with the hat, that had the same exact look as mine did, after he said his name. The other one came up to me and grabbed my hands.
"And I'm Brock."
Misty pulled him away by his ear and I blinked.
Huh... They're a strange group that's for sure...
"Pikachu!"
Ash smiled.
"Oh yeah, this is Pikachu."
I smiled.
"Oh My Gosh! Is that really a Pikachu! He's so adorable!"
Pikachu ran up to my leg and sniffed me. I smiled.
So much like my Pikachu.
"He?"
I looked up.
"Yeah. There's a distinction between a female Pikachu and a Male."
I pulled out my sketch book and flipped to the sketch of my Pikachu.
"This is a female Pikachu. You see the notch in her tail? That's the distinction. Your Pikachu is a male, he has no notch in his tail."
"Oh..."
I looked ahead of where we were.
I hope you two are okay, Pikachu... Eevee.
"Togepi!"
"And this is Togepi."
I smiled.
"She's so cute!"
Soon we began to head out to finish the distance between us and Veridian City. I watched them carefully.
They seem to be very kind to their Pokemon. They seem to be more friends with them, than to act like they're a prize that you can just toss around...
"So what's your name?"
"Huh?"
I looked up at Ash.
"Your name??"
"Oh... Right. Sorry. I can be quite forgetful..."
I smiled.
"I'm Cameron May."
They went back to walking, acting as if I wasn't there... Like I had told them too... Soon we were on the outskirts of Veridian City.
"Pika!!!"
I turned to look towards Ash, his Pikachu was fine.
Oh no!
I heard laughing.
"Where's your trainer now?"
"Vee!"
Eevee! Pikachu!!
Ash turned to them.
"Team Rocket!"
I looked to see they had both my Pikachu and my Eevee. I sighed, realizing I'd have to take off the disguise.
"Let them go!"
I stepped forward, they looked at me.
"And who are you, some poor girl the twerps picked up?"
I quickly pulled off the disguise to reveal my trainers outfit and I put on my hat.
"Wha? You!?"
"Now let Pikachu and Eevee go!"
"You can't make us, and now we'll take all your Pokemon."
A bunch of metal claws came out of their machine and took their Pokeballs. They even took mine... Except for...
"You're the last one Clefairy..."
I pulled the Pokeball out of my necklace... I always kept it there just to be sure it was safe...
"Alright Clefairy! I'm counting on you! You're the last one left!"
They took a step back.
"Wha? A Clefairy..?"
I let Clefairy out and the Pokeball came back to me. I safely tucked it onto my belt.
"Alright Clefairy, break the machine's arms with Double Slap!"
"Clefairy!"
"What's going on?! I thought you studied Pokemon!"
I looked at them.
"I'll explain later. for now just go an retrieve your Pokemon..."
All the Pokemon had fallen out once the arms were broken. I looked to Clefairy once more.
"Alright Clefairy, take care of Team Rocket with Cosmic Power!"
"Cle...Fairy!"
The blast sent them flying. I heard the last thing they said.
"Looks Like Team rocket is blasting off again!!!"
I knelt down by Clefairy..."
"Good Job Clefairy! That was great!"
Pikachu and Eevee ran up to me and I hugged them.
"I was so worried about you two."
My only other Pokemon, Larvitar, ran up as well.
"Lar!"
"Oh, Larvitar! I was worried about you too! I don't know what I would've done if they had hurt you... any of you..."
I got up after I was done making sure they were all right.
"Alright Larvitar. It's time for you to get back into your Pokeball... Don't worry. I'll need you soon. I just know it."
"Lar..."
I clipped the Pokeball onto my belt once he was back in it. Then I pulled my Masterball out once more.
"You too Clefairy. You were great... Thanks for your help again."
"Clefairy!"
I clipped that one onto my belt as well. Then Pikachu jumped onto my right shoulder, and Eevee on my left. I smiled then looked to the others. They were putting their Pokemon up too. Ash was the first to look at me.
"Alright. Here's the whole story."
I sat down on the grass as they did...
"I'm not actually a Pokemon studier... I'm a Pokemon trainer... but, I've been looking for a group who actually has a friendly relationship with their Pokemon as I have... So I stage the role as someone who has never been around other trainers and never had actual contact with a Pokemon so they'll think I'm doing it for studying purposes. I make sure I have enough time to see how they are around their Pokemon, but also not too much time. If I'm away from these two too long I begin to worry. That's why I figure around 30 minutes is perfect. So far every group I've seen has not had the same bond with theirs as I have with mine... Or as you three have with your Pokemon... You're the first three I've ever met who actually care what happens to your Pokemon..."
"Vee."
I smiled and gave Eevee and small piece of Poke-food. I gave Pikachu a piece as well. Misty looked at me.
"Why do you care about how trainers treat their Pokemon so much."
I sighed.
"It's because I've seen so many Pokemon abandoned, hurt, or completely hateful to humans because of how trainers treat them... I feel so sorry for them... I've also been looking to travel with a few other trainers, but I have to make sure they'll treat their Pokemon right... I would never dream of travelling with someone who treats their Pokemon like trash..."
I got up and stretched.
"Now I believe you three were heading towards Veridian City?"
"Oh.. Yeah, we were..."
They got up and I looked at Ash.
"You were going to face the Gym Leader right?"
"Yeah... why?"
"Be careful, Giovanni is very strong... He uses Ground Type Mostly..."
They looked at me.
"What? I do my research... Besides, I had to know that to get this..."
I showed my Earth Badge.
"No way! You've got the Earth Badge!"
I smiled.
"Yupp... I've got a lot more than just that one though..."
