I never wanted to be this way, but I am, so deal with it.
He Left Me
I walked, well stumbled around until I found my way home, back to where I did
not want to be. Grand Rapids. Oh joy, how much fun it is living here. I walked in the door, and My 6 year old brother clung to my leg. I dragged him along with me to the living room where I sat down, and he crawled up next to me.
I'm the girl that no one understands, and nobody wants to understand. Nobody
knows what I've gone through in my life. Im practically a mom, taking care of my brother all the time. My real dad was taken to prison a few years ago for beating me, and my mother remarried.
Her new husband is a doctor, and he's never home. I wouldn't mind, if my mom
was actually home everyonce in awhile. I know what your thinking, 'Cassidy, your 19! Why don't you just move out?' I'll tell you why.
I can't leave my brother, though I could probably take him with me, but I'm in no shape to be taking care of him by myself. I'm a mess. I drink, I smoke, I do
drugs, I cut, basically everything. I didn't really want to, but it's just the way I am.
I got up and walked to my room, Alec following me closely.
"Cass. Cass. Cass." he sang over and over again, walking right on my tail. I
looked back and smiled at him, and grabbed onto his hand. I walked through our mansion of a house until I came across my room.
No one was allowed in there but me, and Alec. The smell was comforting to me, but to others it would be sickening. Alec doesn't mind, but I wish he would, so
he would know what I do is wrong. Cigarettes, weed, and crack were stashed all over to place. My mom didn't care. Neither did Tom.
I walked over and sat down on my bed, Alec crawling up next to me. It really did feel like I was his mother. He started humming a random tune, and I smiled
at him as he starred out the window.
"Let's do something, Cass." he said, jumping off the bed.
"What would you like to do?" I asked, bending down to his level.
"Let's go walk around town!" he said, pulling me off my bed. I didn't like going in public. To the public eye I was the emo chick to did drugs, which is true, in a sense. I couldn't say no to him though.
We walked hand in hand down the sidewalk to get to the main part of town. As we were walking, Alec was pushed down by someone, and he started tearing up.
"What the h3ll, d!ck!" I shouted, grabbing onto the guys shirt and pulling him to face me. This guy was tall compared to me. I glared up at him and he glanced down at me.
"Do I know you from somewhere?" he asked, his eyebrows pulpit together.
"I sure as h3ll hope not." I muttered, letting go of his shirt. He didn't move, but just kept on starring at me as I bent down to pick up Alec. I whipped a single tear from his cheek and kissed his forehead.
"Cassidy?" I guy finally said.
"That's my name, don't wear it out." I said, turning to him.
"Its me, Taylor. Do you remember me?" he asked, pointing to himself like I was deaf.
"Uh, no...?" I told him, looking at his face and scruching my nose.
"You still crunch your nose? Okay, this is crazy! How can you not remember your best friend?" he said, smiling widly and then taking a step closer with arms wide open. I took a step back.
"A lot have things have happened since I was a kid." I told him, closing my arms tighter around Alec.
"Is he.... yours?" Taylor asked, his eyes growing wide.
"He's my brother. I'm not a wh0re." I told him. His face grew less shocked as he just looked at me.
"You seriously don't remember me?" he asked, holding a hand out towards me. I looked down at his hand.
"Please don't leave me Taylor!" I cried, grabbing onto his hand.
"I have no choice, Cass." he said, looking back at me, his eyes tearing up.
"I'm so scared though!" I wailed, crying my eyes out, clinging onto his arm. "You can't leave me." I sobbed.
"I'm sorry." he said, and pulled his arm away from mind, his hand hanging out in front of him before he turned around and walked away, leaving me there.
"You left me." I growled, looking down to the ground next to me.
"I didn't want to." Taylor said, placing a hand on my arm.
"Don't touch me!" I snarled at him, and he pulled his hand back. I looked at Alec in my arms. I never snapped in front of him. I took a deep breathe and set him down, "Go to the park and I'll be there in a minute." I told him, and he ran down the sidewalk to the park.
"Cassidy.." Taylor said, stepping towards me.
"Why did you leave me!" I shouted, starring him down.
"You know the answer to that question." he said, towering over me.
"Actually I don't. Explain." I sassed at him, crossing my arms.
"What do you mean you don't know? I'm fvcking famous!" he shouted, throwing his hands in the air.
"Whoop-dee-fvcking-doo." I said, rolling my eyes. "See if I care." I said, and then walked away from him, and to the park, where Alec was running around with some kids his age. I sat on one of the swings and pulled a pack of cigrettes from my hoodie pocket along with a lighter, and lit it, shoving it in my mouth. I took a couple of puffs, and tapped it on my finger to get rid of the ash. I got looks from the other mothers, and I just glared back, making them feel uncomfortable.
"What happened to you Cass? Your smoking." Taylor said, sitting next to me.
"Won't you just leave me the h3ll alone?" I asked, standing up and dropping the cigrette, putting it out with my shoe. "I lasted 10 years without, and I can last the rest of my life without you." I snapped at him, walking over to Alec. "C'mon buddy, lets go home." I said, picking him up.
"But I don't wanna go!" he said, reaching behind me towards the park as I hurried back to our house.
"Sorry, kiddo. We''ll go tomorrow." I told h im, and he calmed down, leaning his chin on my shoulder, starring behind me.
"Why is he following us?" he asked, and I glanced back, to see Taylor walking about fifty feet back.
"Ready to run?" I asked, setting Alec down. He was used to this. I run from al my problems. I grabbed his arm and we started running. I picked him up halfway through because he was being to slow. I skipped up the steps to our front porch, and opened the door, locking it behind me.
"Who is he?" Alec asked, looking up at me.
"I don't know." I muttered, sharply. I walked up to my room, and Alec tried to follow me in. "Alec, just go to your room for awhile, kay?" I told him, sighing. He lowered his head and walked down the hallway to his room. I closed my door and locked it. I went over to my dressar and pulled out a drawer, a waft of smell coming up towards my nose. I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe, before digging beneath my clothes until i found what I wanted.
I sat down on my bed with my bag, and started eating the weed brownies, the simplest way of intake. My dealer makes them this way, so this is what I normally get. I started to relax the more I ate, and after while, I dropped the bag and passed out on my bed.
