Glee (Rory/Brittany)
Yes, a third Glee story! And a second with Damian. But I found out his character's name, and his basic plot line, so, AWESOME!
Hope you like it!
Chapter 1
I can't think of a title. After this, it'll be names of my favorite Glee songs.
"Rory! RORY!" my mum calls.
"Yeah?"
"Where are you?"
"I'm by the door, mum."
"Oh!" She appears by the doorway, breathless and on the verge of tears for the fourth time today.
"It's okay," I say soothingly. "I'll be back before you know it."
"A whole YEAR!" she exclaims, and then bursts into tears. I rush forward to comfort her.
"No, no, I'm all right," she sniffles, waving her hand airily. "Are you all packed?" She turns away and I see her dab at her eyes gingerly with her shirt.
"Yeah. I've got everything packed, I've got my plane ticket, money--"
"American money?"
"Yes, mum, American money! And I have directions to the Pierce's house." My mom leaves and then returns with a little basket.
"Give this to them, will you?" she asks. It's filled with candies and assorted baked goods.
"Sure mum." I give her a peck on the cheek, grab my suitcases, the basket, and head out to the cab waiting for me.
--------------------------------------------------------------
"Hi! It's so nice to finally meet you!" Ms. Pierce says loudly, and warmly, enveloping me in a hug. "Come, come!" She grabs me by the wrist, stranding my suitcases on their doorstep. She drags me into the kitchen.
"Brittany! RORY'S HERE!" A very pretty blonde girl runs up excitedly to me, ponytail swinging wildly.
"Hi!"
"Hi," I reply. "It's great to meet you, you have a lovely home--"
"Why do you talk like that?" Brittany asks curiously. I look at Ms. Pierce, puzzled, but she's turning to go get my things.
"Like, do you have a speech impediment?" she continues.
"Er, no..."
"Oh, okay!" she says brightly. She takes my wrist (what is with all the wrist-grabbing in this family?) and yanks me upstairs.
"So, this is my room, this is my mom's room, and this is your room!" She pushes open a door at the end of the upstairs hall with a flourish. I peer inside. The walls are practically PAPERED with pictures of cats. No, one cat. A very fat one.
"Oh, that's Lord Tubbington," Brittany clarifies. I chuckle at his name.
"Oh, that reminds me!" I look up at her.
"Yes?" I ask.
"I need you to be a guest on Fondue for Two!" I look at her quizzically.
"My talk show!"
That didn't exactly clear things up.
"It'll be fun! We can shoot it now, while you're fresh! I'll go get my cheese and some pointy sticks." She runs back down the hall.
I stare after her, smiling slightly to myself. Sure she was an odd duck, and I'd barely been able to edge a word in, but her random happiness was infectious, you know?
Now what the hell is Fondue for Two?
"Yeah?"
