I was exhilerated. Capture the flag. I smiled. I had a plan. I being part of the Athena cabin, was alligned with Apollo the second largest cabin in camp,, Posideion, that one took no convincing on Annabeths part, Hecate,Hades, Diyonusus, Nike and Aphrodite. Cabin 6 (Athena DUH!) was the team banner. We were up against Ares. They had alligned themselves with Nemisis, Hermes the largest cabin in camp, Iris, Tyche, Hypnos, Hephestus, Demeter, and Hebe. We were pretty evenly matched. Annabeth called all of us over. It was quite a large huddle. "Trevor, Connor, Nico, Pollux, Lou Ann, Mitchell and Malcom. You 7 run straight for the flag. CJ, Joesph, Tyson, Percy, Connor and Alice go towardsthe river. Because well you all have blood of the Sea God you do best in the water." As Annabeth barked out the rest of the orders we seperated into our squads. After we were all informed, Annabeth slid her cap over her head and I turned to The Posedion cabin. "Travis is ine. Get it, got it good." I pointed my blade around. They all nodded their heads frantically. I laughed. After my first quest Travis and I had informally started ating. He asked me to go out with him by speelig it out in chocolate Easter bunnies on the Demeter cabin roof. I laughed so hard I fell over on the ground. Travis had flowers stuck in his hair for a week but he said me laughing was worth it. Before we could discuss our plans anymore Chiron signaled the startof the game. "Everyone follow me." Percy waved us behind him. We all ran to the river. That was where we had the flag hidden. I crouched down behind a giant rock. I had my feet in the river. Everyone else was in there positions and out of sight. I heard a twig crack. I stealthily peered around the side of the rock. I only say the back of their head but I knew they weren't on our team because of the red plume. They turned around. It was Connor Stoll. Travis's younger brother. I stifled a laugh. If one Stoll was here the othe wasn't far behind. Like clockwork Travis appeared from behind a tree. He whispered to Connor. I strained my ears to hear the conversation."You think Alice is around here?" Travis whispered to his younger brother. "Do you see her? Because I don't see her. Anyway if I did why would I tell you. I have a bet running with the Tyche cabin on who will get who. If you get her out or if she gets you out. My money is on her." Connor said. i bit my tounge so i wouldn't die of laughter. "Really, really?!, so much for brotherly love. Well the coast is clear. Lets us a flag" Travis took one step forward in the direction I knew he would.Like I had figured Connor took one step behind him and to the left. Each of them stepped in a trap Tyson rigged. The rope circles they stepped in now had them hanging upside down with their heads 6 feet off the ground. i steppedout from behind my rock. Travis groaned. and Connor cheered. "Hey Sweetie. It looks like your in a bit of a prediciment." I taunted. The rest of the water patrol lauged. "Hey Connor looks like you won your bet." I told him. He was grinning ear to ear. Both of their helmets had fallen in the water. "Ali can you please let me down. All the blood is rushing to my head." I sighed "Well, i suppose. Tyson can you give me a hand?" Tyson helped my get the two of them down and tied to a tree. "Thanks doll, so much better." I gave him a kiss and walked over to behind the flag. "Annabeth, can I pretty please go for the flag now?" I said to the air. Annabeth shimmered into view. 'How did you know I was there?" She asked me. "It felt like I had eyes boring into the back of my head. And you are the only person I know who can become invisible." She laughed. "You are a true daughter of Athena to notice that. Sure you can try. Do you want to take those two, to jail?"She asked me as she motioned to the Stoll brothers. "No not really." I replied. She laughed again. I waled ove to Travis. "Would you like to tell me where the flag is?" I asked him. I put on my cutest face. "No, I will not. I am not a traitor." He stuck out his upper lip. I turned to Connor. "I can let your brother go he can capture me and you can lose your bet. Or i can let you go leave hi tied up, if you tell me where it is." I tried to convince him. Connor looked like it was a tough choice. "Okay fine. The flag is by Zeus's Fist. Now are you going to untie me?" He asked eagerly. "Nope" I dashed off after the flag before he could protest. Travis looked to Connor "You do know I could have told you that." I laughed as I streaked across the forset. I dodged fights and ran to the spot where the flag was. I spotted it maybe 20 feet away. "Bingo" I mummered to myself. Before i could start running again I felt a spear tip press to my throat. "Well, well, well, looks like I caught myself an owl." I groaned Clarriese.She was still bitter that I had kicked her butt the first day of camp. I saw 2 other Ares campers come out of the shadows. "So thats how you wanna do it' I muttered. I jumped backwards away from her blade, and pushing her backwards. I slammed my helmet into the other camper that ran at me. I drew my huntng knives and started to fight Clarriese and camper number 2 off. I whistled a short tune as loud as I could. After maybe 20 seconds of deadly combat with the Ares campers 4 of my teamates ran out or the woods to help me. "Go, go get the flag. We can handle these clowns." Austin yelled as I darted off to the flag. I hoped no one else was about to jump out. I got to the flag just seconds after i saw the enemy streak across the boundry line hooting and hollering about their victory. I saw who was carrying the flag and I doubled over with laughter.It was Travis with Connor on his heels. They lifted him up onto their shoulders.Cheering. Once he scrambled down he came over to me. I held up my hand. "Lemme guess. You promised tyson jelly beans?" He started laughin. 'Yup an entire bag and some gummi fishies." I punched him in the arm. "Why do I even tellyou things that you can use against me?" I wondered out loud. "Its 'cuz i'm adorable." 'I amsure thats it." Chiron called for everyne to head back to their cabins. after announcing the end of the game and the winners. I hugged Travis goodbye and alked back to cabin 6. Home sweet home.
