Chapter 1

Calling Kurt

I couldn’t believe that I was going to be in a TV show. It was a dream come true. It was so amazing. As soon as I had gotten the call, I called my boyfriend, Kurt Kullen.
He picked up the on the first ring, “Hello, this is Kurt Kullen, to who am I currently speaking?”
“Um, this is your girlfriend, Jackie Bole,” I told him.
“Oh, hey Jackie. What do you want?” he said calmly.
“Oh, just calling to um, say that I got the part!” I exclaimed.
“Your going to be playing Samantha Gorge on the newest TV show on Fox Network, The Sweetest Years?” he asked.
“Isn’t that the only part I auditioned for?” I asked.
See its always been a dream of mine to be an actress, ever since I was a little girl, about four or five. I’ve been the star of every single play/musical my schools put on, our Show Choir won every year I was in it, and that was since I was a sophomore. I am quite a little performer. My parents are both very proud of me.
“Congratulations,” Kurt said, “The bad thing is that now you’ll be moving to Hollywood.” I felt sorry then because Kurt and I had been dating since I became a Freshman, he was a Sophomore. I was sad because I didn’t want to leave, I might have just graduated high school. Then an idea popped in my mind.
“Why don’t you come with me?” I asked Kurt.
“That’s an excellent idea Jackie! Yeah, my parents will be happy that I’m moving out,” Kurt said.
See Kurt’s parents are getting annoyed that their nineteen year old son is still living with them. I think they were hoping that he’d have gone to college, but I knew that Kurt thought that college was for stupid people. He never was going to college, not if he could help it.
"Cool, my mom and dad can't complain because I'm eighteen, and I can do whatever the hell I wanna do," I said proudly.
"Good point, so what time do you have to be there for the first practice?" he asked me.
"The lady said I had to be there by next Tuesday," I said.
"Well, then we better get going by tomorrow. It'll take a while seeing how we live in Tomah Wisconsin," he told me defiantly.
"Well, then lets get going tomorrow. I'll meet you at your house tomorrow at nine in the morning," I told him.
"Does it have to be nine? Why can't we meet at noon? You know I like sleeping in," he complained.
"Fine, we'll meet at nine, but if I don't make it to Hollywood on time, it'll be on your concious," I said.
"Okay, okay, we'll meet at noon, just give my cell a buzz when you wake up, so I can wake up too," he told me.
I laughed at this. I had momentarily forgotten that Kurt doesn't like getting up in the morning. Even when he was in school, he got up just in time to get a ride from his mom. He slept in as long as he could. Kurt could care less what he looked like, not like some of the other kids that were in high school with me. They were all jerks, and I really didn't like them that much. Kurt and I were a match made in heaven.
"Okay sweetie. I better be going so I can get my stuff packed," I told him.
"Okay, I love you babe," he told me.
"Love you too, Kurss," I said, using my nickname for him, he liked it, in fact it was his idea in the first place to call him it.
"Yeah yeah Jackaroo," he said. Jackaroo is my nickname that only Kurt can call me because he always said I acted like a kangaroo.
I hung the phone up, and then went upstairs to pack my clothes for my trip to Hollywood.
