Chapter 1
You Can't Go To Sleep
I moan in protest, "Tyler...no." He continues kissing up my neck until he reaches my ear then whispers, "But you taste so yummy." he pulls my ear lobe with his teeth, placing his hand right under my breast. "But I'm tired." I tell him, closing my eyes, and leaning my head back into my pillows. Tired is in understatement. I had to be up at five-thirty this morning to get ready for school, and after school, I had to work from 4-7. Needless to say, I had a long day and I'm beginning to think having Tyler over tonight was a bad idea, exspecially since I have the same crucial schedule tomorrow. I feel him kiss my neck harder, and my lips crack with a short moan. Tired as I am, it always makes me feel good when he does that. I run my hand through his dark brown hair and he chuckles, letting the words "That feels good doesn't it?" rise up to my ears. I nod, wrapping my legs around him, feeling his hardness between my thighs. "So...how about it? Can we give it a go?" his hand slides across my bare nipple. I sigh, how on earth can I say no to him? He makes me want him so badly. Worse part? He isn't even my boyfriend; he's my best friend. My best friend I've had intense feelings towards, for practically three years now. He has feelings for me too, he just hides them because I'm so much younger than him. Four years...that's how far apart we are in age. He is twenty and I am only sixteen, which bothers him completely. He nudges my nose again, to gather my attention. I glance over at my clock: three fourty-six, ugh. I have to get up in two hours, but right now I don't care. I turn my face back towards him, lean up alittle and press my lips against his. He smiles, kissing me and leaning me back into my pillow. His hand forms around my breast, and I bite his bottom lip. I feel his hand wrap in my hair, and I know exactly what he's about to do, so I pull away. One last kiss to my neck and he unwraps my legs from around him. I flip over onto my stomach, grabbing a pillow, and slide it under me. Then I get up on my knees and elbows. He gets up close behind me, and I moan in anticipation. I know it's gonna hurt, we've done this before. Several times actually, because even though I really like him, I wanna wait to 'do it' until I get married. Luckily, Tyler respects that, so we do the whole anul thing. "You have to be quite baby." he whispers. I nod, knowing that if I'm not my parents will hear and know what we're doing. Ew.

I grab my dickies backpack from the backseat of my green Grand Am, then slam the door shut. "Darcy!" Ellie yells walking towards me. I notice Ellie's wearing her boyfriend Van's football jersey, probably for the big home game tonight. "Hey, Elle." I wave, heading in her direction. She smiles, "Guess what tonight is!" she exclaims, sliding her arm around mine, as if we're going on a nice little 'Sunday stroll'. "Ummm...A game?" I guess, shrugging. She giggles, "Duh! The last home game of the season, and do you know what's after that game?" she questions, twirling a peice of her light brown hair around her finger. I glance to my right to see a small yellow house, and a smile breaks across my lips. Tyler lives in that house, he lives a couples house's down from the school, and I always end up parking farther down the street than where he lives. "Um...Darcy?" she says. My attention snaps back to her, "What?" I ask innocently. "Come on...stop dreaming about Mr. Perfect and say you'll come to the party with me tonight." she tugs on my arm. "Wait...what party?" She rolls her eyes, "Emily's party after the game..." I shake my head, "No...I have to work til seven." She sighs, "The game doesn't start til eight. Please! I'll drive." I go to tell her no again, but she hugs me, then runs off yelling, "Thanks! You're the best, Darcy!" I look again, to see Van's navy blue truck pulling into the school parking lot. "Wait...huh?" I call after her, but she doesn't say anything. "Great..." I mumble, as if my day wasn't going to be long enough.

The first two classes of the morning flew by, and now I'm sitting in my photography class. "So Ellie talked you into going to the game, then?" Eli asks, pulling up one of his photography pictures on the computer screen. I nod, "Unfortunately." I look the picture over; it's of a tiny little orange kitten, sitting on a ball of yarn. He turns it black and white, "And you're not happy about it?" he glances up at me, with his miraculous ice blue eyes. The first time I saw them, they took my breathe away. Yeah, they are that gorgeous. "No, I'm not...I have a long day and I'm already exhausted, and achey." I explain. He sighs, "Long night with Tyler?" I can't help but smile, "Maybe..." He changes the black and white to sephia, "The hickies on your neck are saying more than 'maybe'." he says. I quickly cover my neck with my hands, "The cover-up must be fading." "I don't think any amount of cover-up could conceal that." he chuckles. I slap his shoulder, "Oh shut up..." I think for a minute, then add, "it was worth it." I feel his emotion change drastically, "He's only using you, Darcy." I roll my eyes, this is a common conversation between us, because Elijah has liked me since the seventh grade, and I'm just not into him. "No he isn't." I state. "Then why aren't you two dating?" he asks, spinning on the stool to face me. "I already told you, he thinks he's too old for me." "That's just a lame excuse. The truth is, he's man enough to mess around with you, but not man enough to commit to you. That's low, Darcy." he stares into my eyes, "Higher your standards." This irrates me like no-other, "Well, I'm sorry my standards aren't low enough for you, stop being so jealous of him." He squints his eyes, in a 'you wish' kinda way, "Jealous? Of Tyler Layton? Never..." He stands up then heads to the storage closet to grab the printer. I go to a different computer to work on my own pictures.
