Remembering 9/11- A Tribute to Those Who Gave Their Lives
I feel like I need to write this, and that even if you're not an American, you should still know what has happened to the beloved country on September 11, 2001.
For the full story, please, I beg you, go to this site and learn about the day that changed the United States of America.

Chapter 1
Remembering 9/11
I was three years old when this happened.
On September 11, 2001, it was a normal morning like any other.
Then four planes were hijacked from Boston. The Twin Towers, AKA the World Trade Center, was filled with people from all places, coming to see the famous city known as New York.
Two of the hijacked planes intentionally crashed into those two buildings. Both towers collapsed within two hours.
The third plane crashed into the US Pentagon.
And the fourth plane, after passengers tried to take the plane out of the hands of a terrorist, crashed in Pennsylvania, preventing it from hitting our national capital, Washington D.C.
And now, my tribute to the 2,977 victims that died during the attack.
To the 246 victims that were on the planes:
You were brave. You contacted people, explaining what was happening. And to the members of the United Airlines Flight 19, I thank you all. Because you tried to take on the hijackers by yourselves, and saved our national monument from utter destruction.
To the workers in the North and South towers:
You were brave, as well. Many of you tried to get everyone else out before yourselves, and for that, everyone in this country is thankful.
And last, but certainly not least, to our police officers and firemen:
You put yourself last before others. Instead of fleeing the building, you all raced up the remaining staircases. We love you.
Sunday, September 11, 2011, is the tenth year after the destruction of the World Trade Center.
In May, 2011, Osama Bin Laden, leader of the Islamist Terrorists, was found, shot, and killed.
Our Country, and other Countries, need to know what happened that day.
I take my hat off to the victims of Semptember 11, 2001.

ME TOO!!
Couldn't Have Said It Better. I am Muslim, and the only time I have ever been ashamed of that is because of OBL. What a ret_ard he was. Hope he burns in h€ll. Well, he is. =}
I'm glad that you're not ashamed of being Muslim, and that you only dislike the man (or demon) who gave your religion/race a bad name. I myself have Muslim friends, but I don't make fun of them or anything. I agree with you- he's burning in hell.
AMEN! I LUV ALL OFU WHO RISKED UR LIVES TO HELP US! ESPECIALLY THE FIRE FIGHTERS ALTHOUGH I IN NO WAY UNDERSTAND HOW THEY MANAGE TO RUN INTO A BIULDING EVERYONE IS RUNNING OUT OF AND STILL HAVE THE WITS TO RESCUE OTHERS BEFORE THEMSELVES! AND FLIGHT 19 THANK YOU FOR GIVING AMERICA THE ONE SMALL RAY OF HOPE THAT HELD US TOGETHER AND SHOWED OUR BRAVERY!
I agree with you! I mean, how can people run into a collapsed building? Heroes, that's whom. They risked their lives, and I'm glad you show respect for them.
u 2!some ppl don't understand the importance of firefighters! :P
Amen to that sista.
Blesses be. I cried reading that... AGHHHHHH!!!! I'm so emotional
Don't feel bad, I was crying as I wrote it.
I was three years old when it happened too- my parents watched it live. I honour them as well- they were brave people. Not fearless, but truly brave.
"And from the Twin's ashes we shall rise."
Couldn't have said what you did better myself. :)
Thank you for posting this. I was at the pentagon and my mom and uncle had to walk past it. I hope everyone who died on 9-11-01 will rest in peace. No one couldve explained it better. Thank you.
I'm so happy that you're alright. And you're welcome. The lost souls deserve a tribute.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I too take my hat off to the victims of 9/11!
I am not one easily affected by news of war(living my entire living memory with the Afganistan/Pakistan conflict has caused that) but after hearing the calls of members on Flight 93 and others, it broke my heart to the point I am sure I was not the only one in my classroomwith tears sliding down their cheeks. It takes a brave soul to risk themselves for others in danger, like those who helped strugglers in the WTC, but to realize you were going to die and be as calm as those passengers(cont...)
