Chapter 1
Letting Him Know
You walked into the kitchen, seeing Mrs. Weasley move around the kitchen swiftly preparing breakfast. " Good morning." you said quietly. " Oh good morning dear, how did you sleep?" she asked sweetly. " Fine." You lied. " Do you need any help?" you asked. " That would be wonderful." She smiled. You worked quietly until people started to come down for breakfast. Sirius was first, followed by the twins. You were surprised you didn't see Mr. Weasley, but you learned he has already left for work. You put plates of food onto the table and ended up sitting next to Sirius. " You have really changed since the last time I saw you." Sirius said smiling. You couldn't help but smile back " As have you. You look like you have put on a few pounds." you joked patting his stomach remembering the last time you saw him. He was bone thin and was quiet scary looking, but now he looked so much healthier and friendlier. Mrs. Weasley came over placing another bottle of the pain killers next to you. You grimaced and Sirius chuckled. " That's nasty stuff right there. Had my fair share of that stuff. Not an enjoyable experience." You smiled and you chugged the potion and started to eat.
You spent the rest of the day cleaning the house with Ginny, Hermione, Ron, Harry, Fred and George. It was disgusting. The house was completely covered in dust and you even got to meet the less than friendly house elf, Kreacher. You yawned, finally feeling the effect of not sleeping. You stood up brushing off your pants and headed for the kitchen. " You feeling a little sore?" Mrs. Weasley greeted. " A little, but I think I'm going to be fine." you said. " Nonsense. I don't have anything right now, but I sent an owl to Professor Snape and when everyone comes for dinner he's bring some more of the pain killers for you." Mrs. Weasley smiled patting you on the shoulder. You hugged her tightly. You weren't sure what came over you, but you started to cry. Mrs. Weasley hugged you tighter. " Dear maybe you should go lay down. I'll call you down for dinner." You nodded heading upstairs. Exhaustion over came you and you immediately fell asleep when your head hit the pillow.
" Harry I can't tell you, why don't you understand that." Hermione said getting frustrated. " I deserve to know! Hermione, please, I'm worried for her." Harry said desperately. " Hermione. Just tell him. He's her brother for god's sake. Basically everyone knows but him." Ron cut in. You sat up in bed listening to the conversation unfold. " Harry she's going to tell you, just not now. She doesn't want to distract you from your hearing. Please Harry just let it be for now." The door started to open and you quickly laid back down pretending to sleep. " __ wake up, it's time for dinner." Hermione said shaking you slightly. You opened your eyes slowly and sat up. " Okay I'll be down stairs in a minute." You said rubbing your eyes. Harry stood in the door way looking at you sadly. He was staring at the bruises on your arms which were starting to turn into a gross yellowish color. You pulled on a sweater to cover yourself, despite the fact that it was pretty hot out.
You walked silently down stairs with Harry and into the kitchen. You were surprised to see that there was quite a big group there, including Lupin, Tonks, Mundungus, and Professor Snape. It felt weird to see a teacher outside of school. You sat down at the table between Harry and Ginny and began to eat. There were several conversations going around the table and you didn't really pay much attention to any of them until you heard your name. " Yeah I don't know why she bothers going to Hogwarts. She has some talent this one." Mundungus said making you blush. That was probably the nicest thing you had ever heard him say. " I'll have to make sure I can make it to your next show." Ginny said smiling at you. " As someone who has been to almost all of her shows, I have to say it's something you don't want to miss." Harry said nudging you slightly making you look at him. You smiled and continued eating as the conversation went on.
You sat in the kitchen with the everyone else waiting anxiously for Harry to get back from his hearing. Early that day you had gotten a frantic letter for Seamus making sure you were okay since he hadn't heard from you in a while. You felt bad you used to write to him everyday, but lately everything is just so crazy and you weren't a loud to send owls unless completely necessary. You couldn't think about that though all you could focus on was whether you were going to have to spend the rest of your time at Hogwarts with or without Harry. You heard a door open and footsteps and you immediately stood up as Harry walked into the room. He looked down at the floor sadly. You ran to him and hugged him tightly. " This isn't fair they can't do this. You saved Dudley's life." you said tears starting to form in your eyes. " They dismissed my case. I'm not expelled" Harry said happily. You looked at him in shock. " Harry. James. Potter. That wasn't funny!" You said hitting him playfully and then hugging him again. Mrs. Weasley brought some snacks over to the table and every one ate.
You sat in the living room reading a book you had found, when Harry entered and sat next to you. You knew what he wanted. You knew you needed to tell him and telling him would be best, but part of you just couldn't retell the story again. It was too painful. " I understand it's hard, but I just want to help. Please." Harry said seriously. You sighed knowing what you had to do. You started from the beginning right when Harry left and kept your eyes on the floor the whole time as you told him the story. When you finally finished retelling the horrific events, you wiped some stray tears from your face and looked up at Harry. A couple of tears trickled down his face and he pulled you close to him. " I'm so sorry. This is all my fault." Harry said into your hair. " No, it's not Harry. How were you to know this would happen." You pulled away slightly to look at him. You sat there in silence for what seemed like hours. No words were exchanged, but none where needed. All that needed to be said, was said.
