The Blue of Wanting (I Can't Do It Alone Part 2)

Cuddled up all nice and warm with my fiance. He is perfect, from his dark brown locks to his too soft -always wearing shoes, feet. I let a sigh of comfort slip my throat, as he wraps his arms around me tighter. Our two story, little, yellow house is silent tonight. Normally, Peyton, fusses for a little over an hour before she passes out, but tonight she just fell asleep, without the whining. Probably because she knows she has a pretty big day tomorrow. Oh, my gorgeous little daughter, I can't believe that tomorrow has come so soon. Her heart shaped face she inheritted from me, her petite little nose, and those amazingly unique violet eyes. Where she got those from I have no idea. She most definitely didn't get them from...him. He had those...blue eyes. Ice blue eyes...Gosh, why can't they go away? They havn't since that night...that terrible night, that only brought one good thing. I move around in his embrace, which draws his attention to me. "You okay, Darcy?" he whispers almost seductively in my ear. I open my mouth, to tell him 'yes', but something else shuts it. I sit up pushing off Tyler's arms, "Something's not right..." I state, "Something's wrong..." He sits up next to me, his shirtless torso uncovered from the blanket. My eyes flutter for a brief second before shutting and showing a mortifying sight. A dead child. My child. I scream. These visions keep coming, all these different images popping up in my head, I hate it! Tyler grabs my shoulder shaking me, "Darcy! Open your eyes, it isn't real!" he yells. He knows about these visions, they scare him too. Even if he doesn't tell me. I try doing as he says, trying to get my eyes open, but it isn't working. Eyes...those f*-ing eyes, keeping watch over her body. I finally get my eyes to obey, and I can feel the tingling of the sweat dripping off my neck and forehead. Tyler flips the lampswitch on, and I catch a glimpse of my eyes in the mirror across the room. Ice blue. Like normal these days. I can hear Tyler's feet behind me as I rush into Peyton's room. "Mommy!" the light turns on before I reach the room, and I see she's still in her crib. Tyler walks in as I pick Peyton up, "Who turned the lights on?" he asks, looking around the room. I shrug, cuddling my little girl closer to me, "It happens all the time now." I tell him. He sighs, but before he can say anything Peyton whispers, "Window, Mommy!" The lights flicker off again, as I glance to the window, and instantly I see this red glow coming from beneath the curtain. Shuffling my feet across the carpet, I walk closer to what looks like words. I push the fabric away from the wall, and read: You're all the same. She, him and you. It will all become clear, when she becomes two. I re-read the ryhme several times, before making them audible for Tyler to hear. He snaps his attention to me, "Wait...If she is Peyton...which it would have to be, because she turns two tomorrow." he states. I nod, "I know...but good news. She won't be two til ten tomorrow night. We need sleep." I tell him, handing him Peyton. Hesitantly, he takes her out of the room. I glance around the room making sure nothing is in here, then head out into the hallway. The door shuts behind me, and automatically locks itself. I go back to bed.
