Embrace the Darkness

Hi, I am Elaine Rose. I lived my life in a small town of the U.S. I might look like an average 16-year-old who has a perfect life but it's actually the opposite. I cannot remember my past. I cannot recall a memory of my childhood past. My dreams haunt me everyday from what I remember. And that is not much. I cannot help but think my dreams carry important messages that I cannot decipher. The dreams have taken over my mind. They have become a mystery that I must solve.

Darkness. It is all I see. It gives me chills all up and down my spine. Darkness. The colour of night. It seems to cloud around the secrets of my past. It scares me. I don't see anything and I don't hear anything, but all I feel is the cold, moist air between my fingers. It is pitch-black, concealing everything that hides within it. It is silent. No noises. Nothing. It seems peaceful but there is an eerie quality to it that it seems haunting, spine-chilling, and frightening. I want to scream or something to make the silence and darkness disappear, but fear paralyses my body. My mind focuses on the fact that this all seem surreal. I got to get out. It must be a dream or a hallucination. Suddenly, pain sears all over my body. I can't breathe. The pain is becoming too unbearable. It feels like I'm being stabbed all over my body.
"Wake up. Wake up."
Now there is a glow coming from over my head. The light is dim, but it is enough for me to see what's going on. I look around the room. The walls are a pale yellow and covered with dark red stains. There is a chilly atmosphere in the room. It is suffocating. Wait. There appears to be people in the room. There are about six of them. Their faces are hidden by masks, similar to the ones doctors wear in a hospital. I don't trust them even though I feel like I should. There is an evil aura illuminating from them. My eyes look at them again before peering at my body. I scream. My body looks like a bloodbath but that is not the biggest concern for me. Besides the fact that I am fully naked, there is a big tear on the part where my belly should be. My internal organs are spilling out of the tear. My whole body is in agony. It is torture. I want to put myself out of this misery. Tears start pouring out of my eyes. It hurts so much more now that I know what's going on. My vision starts to dim as I scream a bloodcurdling scream. Then I am consumed by darkness once more.
