Oh yeah! I remember being told about that. They think that the colonists married into the Indian tribes, because there were Indians with light coloured eyes and fairer hair/skin even though they were definitely Indian.

I think the Indians went and killed them all off and did something with the bodies or took them to their tribe and either intermarried, or ate them.
