Hello everybody! This is a story based on the tornado I was in when I was 3 years old. This tornado nearly destroyed our little town. These are all made up characters. I didn't describe their looks because I want you to imagine them however you want! Please comment!

Chapter 1

June 21, 2003, morning

Place: Ruskin Nebraska
Day: June 21, 2003
Time: 9:01 a.m.
Person: Hannah Anderson

Hannah Anderson had just gotten done with the last day of the one week summer camp up at Camp Luther in Schyler Nebraska. Her dad had picked her up and they were almost home.
Hannah's mom, Amy had died five years ago from a lightning strike in the head. She had been hospitalized for a week, but after that the doctors decided there was nothing they could do so they put her out of her misery.
Today was the anniversary of her death. Hannah was usually a quiet girl but today she was especially quiet, so was her dad. When they got home Hannah's little brother Christian, instead of his usual chatter about how camp must be so fun and how he can't wait until he's old enough to go, he just sat there at the kitchen table only looking up to see who had come through the door. Chris had only been three years old when thier mom had died and Hannah had been ten.
Dad looked at both of their downcast faces and shook his head.
"Hey Chris?"
Chris looked up, "Ya?"
"You know that waterpark in Hastings you've been begging me to go to?"
Chris looked a little excited, Hannah's hopes had gone up a little too for this was a great waterpark. "Ya!" they both said.
"Well how about we go there tomorrow, just to cheer us all up!"
"Awesome!" they both said again.
Little did they know that they would be wishing they hadn't said yes.
