curiosity's perilous downfall - based on an (almost) true story

It was a thursday. The fateful day when her brother was at school for an extra period... her chance had come. her parents were driving home from work, her uncle asleep... she was free to roam. She slunk quietly into her brother's bedroom, and closed the door. heart pounding like a pneumatic road drill, she gently opened the box. As she did so, she gasped in horror - it was a slice of pork! A poor little darling pig had been slain and roasted in a frying pan! She put the little dear into a boat, set it on fire and let it drift down a stream. Her tears did not stop until she returned home. When she opened the door, she saw that her parents were back. Feeling guilty, she spooned some broccoli onto her plate and began to eat her evening meal with her mother and father. As she asked about where her stupid brother was, her father looked confused. He then smiled and told her to stop playing games and eat. The puzzled little girl ate her food and went upstairs - only to find that her brother's room was gone! She went to bed and didnt sleep, tormented by worry and guilt. what had she done to him by burning that pork?
At the stroke of midnight, A breeze swirled her curtains eerily. a ghostly voice whispered; "Giiivvvee meee baaack myy pooorrrkkk, verityyy!" cold fear gripped her mind. it sounded like... "My bacoooonnnn! whheeerree is myyy baaaaaaaccccccoooooonnnnn?" insisted the voice, louder this time. It had to be.... "WHEEERREE ISSS MYYYY PIIIIGGFFLLEEEEESSSH?!?!" roared an evil voice that could only come from an evil demon; a horrifying spectre; HER BROTHER?! The house was shaking like a maid on a stool, a sordid rodent under her chair wanting only evil, evil, EVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

6 weeks later, two adults sat at a table, with their teenage son sitting with them. "Honey, why didnt we have more kids?" asked the woman to the man, once their son was safely lying in his room. "I dont know, but it feels like we did; I can't explain it!" replied the father. All I can say now is; the box of the teenager has been full ever since.
