Stay Away, Haven

Reads: 2 | Chapters: 1 |

This is my original story. It's about a vampire hunter, who later on in the story gets changed into a vampire. It's a short story so far, since I've had writers block. I'm open to opinions, and ideas. If you see the name Castiel in the story it's because I love that name from Supernatural but make no mistake they are totally different characters. The only thing they have in common is their name. The is my story so please be respectful and don't steal it.

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

The darkness was starting to swallow up the remainder of light emanating from the blazing sun setting in the east. I had an extraordinary lead where Haven might be on this darkest of nights; he loves to prey on weak, helpless, teenage girls. My anonymous lead, explained that Haven was recruiting new members for his exclusive coven. I could never allow him to get near anyone; it’s hard enough knowing he’s ben killing innocent people, but turning them is even worse. With his intelligence we’ve never been able to catch him. If he’s able to turn these girls tonight he will strip them of their innocence, and make our job as hunters harder than ever. My friends, Castiel and Kaitie and I, have been tracking Haven and his coven for years, we’ve slayed only four out of the twenty vampires in Haven’s coven over the four years we’ve ben hunters. Just maybe, we could finally catch him that would be a huge accomplishment.
My name is Silver, it’s not the most popular name, but it suits me just fine. I have onyx black wavy hair that reaches past the middle of my back. I have stunning jade green eyes that can bore into your soul of be filled with love and lust. They can soften, or turn hard as rocks. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and those people who say that are not lying. I wouldn’t say I’m beautiful at all, but back when I was in school, the guys would be the ones falling hard for me, instead of the other way around. I’ve never really noticed until my ex-best friend pointed it out back when we were close. I’m more of a loner, or in other words an introvert. I wasn’t always like this I used to be one of the star cheerleaders of my high school; boys followed me around like lost puppies even though I was involved with my boyfriend at the time. My life has changed so much since I was waving pom-poms at people. Four years ago, Haven, and his coven broke into my house and drank my parents to nothing but bones and muscle, and changed my sister Arianna, into a blood drinking monster.
I don’t know what she was thinking, she begged him to change her, she’s always been jealous of my so called beauty, and all those glorified vampire movies, made her think she would turn into a beautiful, pale skinned, no fangs, no horror in killing innocent people vampire. With her transformation she did turn unbearably beautiful even better than me, as she once told me, when I ran into her on a slaying job. I just couldn’t put a stake through my younger sister, but now if I ever run into her again I could do it, since I’ve turned cold and feeling less almost like a monster in my own way. I’m twenty-two, now and my sister is forever stuck at seventeen, which is so young. She was transformed into a very talented seductresses, luring in poor helpless people each day, to feast on or worse to change.
My life isn’t how horrible as it seems, I enjoy slaying murderous monsters. You’re probably wondering why I’m sitting here, telling you my pointless life story when, I’m in dire need to catch Haven. Which, you’re probably right, so let’s get this over with, and I’ll tell you about Castiel and Kaitie later, which are also interesting people.
Taking the sidewalk is probably the fastest and safest way to go. In no time I’m exactly where I want to be, I hadn’t expected it to just be a small bonfire, on the southern edge of GoldEast Lake. I silently crouch by the underbrush, trying to be as discrete as possible. I see a bunch of teenagers illegally drinking beer, now that’s quite a smart idea, on their part. There is already a midnight curfew, and they were breaking that too. Haven, stuck out like a sore thumb, he’s taller than most people, and has darker hair then me, so he isn’t that hard to spot. He was talking to a stick thing blond, by a nearby oak tree; I could see caution in his eyes, as he went through the phases of feasting. He secluded her and held her in a tight grip, as he was busy tearing into the artery in her neck; I sprang from my crouch, and wildly through a punch. It was defective as I knew it would be but, the impact to his jaw made him drop the struggling girl. He didn’t even turn to fight, instead he fled. Very, unlike him, as he fled I saw a new emotion for him on his face. I swear I saw a longing, for some love; It couldn’t have been me he was thinking of, could it? Defeat is unbearable, I remember back when my life was normal, and I was in the fourth grade talent show. I was singing, a thought I was wonderful but when the results came in and I came in last place. I hung my head in defeat and was depressed, for the rest of the week. But this defeat was utterly unbearable; I got so close, but fell short. This defeat wasn’t like in fourth grade; this defeat damaged the lives of others.
I guess the next step would be joining up with Castiel and Kaitie and discuss the event that transpired. I pulled out my silver blackberry and sifted through the contacts, which by the way wasn’t very long.
