Chapter 1
Say Goodbye to What Use To Be
In a black car, two twins sat in back, both near a window, starring through it quietly, with a very long drive on a rainy day full of gray clouds… no sun today. As Cheryl closed her eyes slowly the last few hours played back in her mind like old tape that would rewind back to the start of everything.
Two little girls played happily on a playground with their farther watching them with a surprise of ice cream. A birthday is seen with lots of children at a mansion house decorated from head to toe, a farther holds the most presents for his both girls. A last old memory of the girls dancing with their farther at a party, held in the ballroom of the house. Cheryl then let out a small tear from her face full of pain as the morning had begun and she found her farther dead in his bed that she thought was just asleep. Falling onto the floor crying hard calling Candace to hurry home who only does the same, holding onto her sister tight.
There standing on a door step, Candace looking irritated and Cheryl looking down as their held their suitcases. The door quickly opened with a woman appearing from behind it. “You made it, I’m so glad” said Diana with a big smile holding her arms out at the girls. Cheryl dropped her stuff, running upstairs and cried deeply on a bed with her face becoming bright red. “I’ll just get this” Diana said reaching for Cheryl things on the floor until Candace angrily snatches it away. “I got it, she’s my sister” Candace said in a smart tone, heading upstairs. “Okay...then” Diana disappointed closing the door gently.
Candace walked into a bed room and sat on the bed holding her sister tight as she cried all day and her self into a sleep. Candace kissed Cheryl’s forehead, wrapping a blanket on her then opened the door a bit to listen out from down stairs with no sound but the night. Candace dressed up in a black short dress with small heels, in the mirror putting on red lipstick and black eyeliner slowly. “I’ll be back, I promise, just rest” Candace whispered softly to Cheryl, who nodded and yawned with tired watery eyes.
Pulling a window up quietly, Candace carefully sneaked out the house, walking down into town and entering into a small open club full of adults and some teenagers who could’ve used fake ids to get in. “What can I get you dear?” said the bartender, taking out a glass. “Something strong…just anything please” Candace told and as her drink was passed to her, she began to weep a lot as she drunk down the drink. “Two more please…” Candace told the bartender and drunk more in sorrow, letting out her pain she kept inside the whole day. Here tears messing up her mascara and wiped her lips a bit with a napkin making her red lips a light pink.
At the house, Cheryl woke up gently, looking around but her sister was still out late and she went downstairs as Diana slept in her room down the hall. In the kitchen, taking a glass out of the cabinet, Cheryl rubbed her wet tired eyes as she reached for the sink for water only to drop the glass that scare her eyes wide open. “Hmm?!” Diana jumped up from asleep, hearing the noise and feared someone in the house, took a bat from under her bed, going downstairs.
Cheryl began to cry a little, picking up the pieces of glasses that she cut her finger but suddenly got on her knees taking a piece of glass holding it up close to her wrist with her holding her head back in tears. “Who’s there?!” Diana shouted holding the bat that scare d Cheryl to cut her wrists and scream low in pain. “Cheryl? Sweetie what happen?!” Diana paniced after turning the kitchen light on and hugging Cheryl in her arms, putting pressure on the wound.
In the club, Candace drinks more and cries deeper with the bartender worried watching over her, as she served others. The music beating loud with everyone going wild and having fun while one girl sat on a stool with her head down in her arms, squeezing her empty glass with her red lips from her lipstick around the tips of the glass.
