A Poem

Chapter 1

Fading Away

A fading light that guides the way.
A forgotten night, no longer shall it stay.
Stolen and hiding,
The truth that's never defining.

I'm fading away, I can feel it in my bones.
I'm falling and my light is dimming.
My eyes, with tears their brimming.

Falling,
Fading,
Breaking,
Cracking,

I'm falling,
Falling from this world.

I'm fading,
Fading from my life.

I'm breaking,
Breaking down again.

I'm cracking,
Cracking so far down the middle.

Good night,
Fading light.
Hold tight,
And have no fright.

I'll see you soon.
I'll play a tune.
We'll dance and sing.
To this terrible thing.

But you are fading from my vision.
And their digging in this incision.
For I only have indecision.
As my body fills with tension.

Fading into the night.
Just like my dimming light.
But don't fear for me.
Cause I'm already free.

Maybe I'll fly away,
In another place I'll stay.
So with in my fading life.
I shall no longer fear the knife.
Nor will I fear your ways.
I'm getting better with the passing days.
