Rain Dance

Everyone is dancing
On a night of romance
With couples on the dance floor
Yet I sit in a corner
Watching the fun have fun
Wishing for a fairy godmother
But nothing happens
I continue to wait
But no hand reaches out for mine
I began to feel so sad
Completely invisible and unloved
While everyone spin around me
Displaying their affections
While I feel my heart sink like titanic
Cupid must have forgot me
That's fine I never liked him anyway
I'm alone in a crowd
No prince for me
It took snow white just a day in a coffin
I might be in mines forever
As I leave away from the love birds
I watch the one I wanted mine
Go in with another
I let out a smile
Hurrying out the door
I keep smiling until it rains
Where even if I cry the tears are washed away
I look at my hand
There will never be a ring there
It's easy to dream but way harder to seek it
In that place I left
Everyone is falling in love
While I stand in a pond of my tears
Couples dancing to a melody promising forever
While I dance in the rain of my own sorrow.
