Protect the Majestic
This story is for wildwolf711's contest. My story is called Protect the Majestic
Chapter 1
Spotted
The Lucky Sun was swift to cut through the calm ocean waters. I sat back in the chair, letting the sun soak into my pores, and hopefully begin to tan all the while. My father, also the ship's owner, was in the gulley celebrating his astonishing claim to have found a new species of octopus with the crew, when I was suddenly moved by the most beautiful I'd ever heard!
I was quick to climb to my feet and race to the rail. Suddenly, tangy salt water exploded in my face!
Stuttering, my eyesight cleared and I was able to glimse a large blackish blob lowering into the sea below.
"DAD!" I screamed, already racing for the captian's cabin. The captain, who went by the mysteries name of Captain R., hummed a soft tune and sipped more liqour from his large bottle he had in his hand.
"PLEASE STOP THE BOAT!" I urged, practically giving the poor man a heart attack.
"Why?"
"JUST DO IT!" And in a few seconds the boat was slowing to a stop.
"Arrie? What's wrong?" Dad rushed in, a contortion of worry and fear spread over his face.
"I. . .don't know! I saw something! I'm sure of it! I let the breath flow out of me, like a stream of words.
"Well, if that's all, start the engine again." He said, and waited for R to turn the key.
"NO! Wait!" I reached out, and grabbed R's wrist inches before he touched the key.
"Arriana, let the man turn the key." Dad warned, giving me a hard glance.
"You can't! Just give me ten minutes!" I said, and before anyone could object, I left the cabin and back to the rail.
Sure enough, the squealing was louder, and to my surprise, a huge, gorgeous Orca rose to the surface, and blew a blast of cold water towards me! I quickly jumped back, and the water splashed close to my new sandals, and back down to the sea below.
"Wow." I whispered as the whale clicked and dove deeper, his dorsal fin slicing through the wonderfully blue waves.
"A killer whale!" Dad's voice made me jump slightly.
"Yeah, isn't he gorgeous?" I agreed, and watched the orca swim out farther into the ocean.
Instantly, he dived under, and for a split moment, I thought he was gone, until he leaped out from the water! The sun dazzled off his graceful black and white body in a spectacular motion as his large body fell back into the water with a gigantic splash!
"That's why I had to stop the boat!" I exclaimed to dad, who stood there with his face stunned.
"You stopped the boat for a. . .fish?"
"What? No! He's a mammel." I warned as dad headed back to the cabin.
"Captain R! Start the engine back up!" Dad called.
"No, not if you want to hurt me."
Dad gave me a glance, but before he could do anything else, he watched me jump over the railing and into the water.
I desperately swam to the top.
"ARRIANA!" Dad screamed from the railing. And I could see why.
I'd been spotted. By the KILLER whale.
Worse yet, I could only see the dorsal fin sticking out of the water, coming closer to me. Faster, and faster!

this is my quiz for Free_wolf's animal picture contest, although if I add more chapter's, it's because I felt this wasn't a good ending, and that only the first chapter was for Free_wolf
Really nice! I love it!
