Chapter 1
Do You Hear The People Sing?
"Listen everybody! General Lamarque is dead." Everybody froze. And then I looked at all the dumbfounded men. "Lamarque is dead... His... Death... Is the sign we await!" I then got ontop of the table and looked down at them. "On his funeral day they will honour his name. It's a rallying cry that will reach every ear!
In the death of Lamarque we will kindle the flame. They will see that the day of salvation is near! The time is near! Let us welcome it gladly with courage and cheer. Let us take to the streets with no doubt in our hearts! But a jubilant shout. They will come one and all. They will come when we call!" Everybody cheered, and we worked harder then ever. I could tell we were going to win this fight. A few hours later as I was wandering the Paris streets, informing people of the war and how they can help, when I lay my eyes on a beautiful creature. Trying to not focus on that body made me want it even more! Snap out of it, Enjolras, I told myself, you need to worry about more important stuff... Like the war! Not on some georgeous... Beautiful-- Stop it! I then groaned loudly and 'she' looked at me. "Monsieur? Are you alright?" For a moment, I was speachless, but I finally found my voice and nodded. "Uh... Yeah, I am... Wonderful..." She slowly nodded, a slight smile appearing on her face. "Hey, you're one of those students, right? Fighting in the revolution?" I grinned and nodded. "I am, actually. Enjolras, at your service." She nodded again and reached a hand out. "I'm Danielle." My grin grew, and I took her hand, placing a gentle kiss on it. "A pleasure, Mademoiselle Danielle." "Likewise." Just then, someone came over to her- It looked too young to be her mother, I assumed it was her sister. She said "Danielle, come on, Mother is waiting..." She then saw me, and I flashed her a smile. Obviously discusted, she turned to Danielle, who said. "But Amelie, I was just talking to Enjolras. Can't Mother wait...?" She looked at me as she said my name, and I could've sworne my heart skipped a beat. Amelie rolled her eyes and just took her hand, leading her the other way. With a sigh, I left as well.

I hope you enjoyed this... Not really that good, but as you could see with POTO story, I tend to write more as I get more into it... Oh, and, as you can see, my name's not Danielle, but since this takes place in france, I had to use a french name. And, my middle name is french so I used that. So yeah, more to come!
