My hair turned bright pink in my happiness, and I think I grew taller a few inches.
I read the letter in awe.

"Can we go to Diagon Ally today?" I asked my mom excitedly.
"Relax Lilliane. Your hair is bright pink and you've grown almost three inches." she replied.
"Well, were you excited when you were accepted into Hogwarts?"
My mother paused.
"Well, yes, I was excited, but I also was surprised. You know I was muggle-born."
"Yes, I know mother. Could we go? Today? Please?"
"You know I'm busy writing articles for the Daily Prophet, and Dad's coming back from training dragons in a few days. When he gets back, we can go and get you your supplies."
I wasn't really listening. I was thinking about the wand I would be getting and the potions that I would be brewing in less than three months. I was so excited, I could hardly breath.
"Could we please go today?" I pleaded.
"Did you hear me before? We're going in a few days, when Dad gets home," my mother replied.
I shrunk three inches, and my hair turned a dull peach. Rats, I thought.
